This is gonna be a cracker meeting.

Hyperion Stakes - Marasco to return (see other thread)

Raconteur Stakes - arguably two of the best up and coming gallopers int he state clash. Henry De Horse the natural front runner takes on Ballroom Crown the backmarker who flies home - thro in possibly Revolition and Im Elite and this looks a great race.

Natasha Stakes - Brava Fortune, All Class, and Flight Path plus a few others.

Diamond Dan to ride Marasco ,Harvey was never riding him Staeky does all the work for the Kersley stable and is also family obvious choice

Dan does all the work with the horse and knows him inside out . Im surprised he hasn't ridden the horse before now !
That being said , i think he will suit the horse down to the ground . He needs a strong rider to wake the bludger up :P

I think more important this week is that Marasco has blinkers for the first time (or so I believe don't quote me).

For a horse of his age who's had his knockers and seemingly been like a rubix cube to solve, very unusual that it's taken this long to try them. I know a few wags thought he needed them way back when he ran 2nd in Aus Cup.

think Fred did whack them on that campaign, but he ran a shocker....probably not due to the blinkers tho....Im sure there were other problems.

Definetley a tricky race to put a bet on, but i'll be happy with getting even money for a place bet with Hadebeclorka. Brent Larson has planned his prep really well. 1200m, 1300m, 1400m now the Hyperion. I think (hope) he'll flash home strongly.

What a cracker of a race it will be to watch.

With restrictions on use of the whip in the Shadow's this is the first of the Big races, that will sort out the Pretend horses. IMHO it will get interesting from now on. :roll:

Elliotto looks the only danger - thinking around the $3 - $3.50 mark for him, rest of the field $10 and up

I think Lachino can turn the tabels on Ellioto, second up and gets 1kg swing in the weights for being beat a 1/2 length. Won't matter though as they won't get near DV.

Marasco,well if he's 85% and you would think he would be he wins...would be more confident if ponty was on but he was naughty on wed.Level weights goodnite,chops these up giving them around 6 to 7kgs normally doesnt he??
