Some cracking races on this card.

Race 1 despite just 8 runners is vvery interesting. KASABIAN got an easy lead last start but was very impressive just the same - tactics will be interesting as TAXTIME and HAWKEYE MORT will probably go for the lead.

Race 2 see's a couple of my favs in King Kool Kat and Marleycombe both engaged.

Race 3 For Your Eyes Only against Black Nijinsky

Race 4 Bike Aaromba drawn wide against Golden Heart, Most Secretive

Race 5 Zuytdorp - Luskin Dancer and maybe Zilvain could back up??

Race 7 - They will go like last weeks pay - scorching field this for the time of year. All eyes on Vizard and Vain Raider but we have some other top speedsters engaged

very very unlikely for you!! :P (i juts noticed Zuytforp was in again, should be an anchor for the first leg of the quaddie :wink: )

Gee the sprint is a good race--the Machine in brilliant form, Vizard goes quick and vain Raider has a brilliant first up record. Will possibly tip VR, but he will have to be on top of his game to beat the Machine.

Early thoughts are:

For Your eyes Only, a budding star at 2

Bentonian @ any old odds ,dont like the race at all, so will have a look at the price.

Danebeela :l ove this girl, if she is close enough,has a huge chance, almost a field job here

Rocky Range: wide draw is a big worry, but average field in my eyes.
Duncan Miller in the Jockey Challenge should go close.

i really liked the run of Casper Cowboy last time out and i think if it can get a easy sit midfield may just run on fast. will be a challenge but great trainer who can get them right for the races..

the gate makes the Beaufine very interesting im sticking with Ma Ma reckon there is a hot pace so coming of them might be the go but concerned with his draw will take a AK special but the boy is flying at the moment will be the states leading jock when Willie goes thats a given !!!

Marleycombe scratched and nominated for Northam on 30/7 2200M. This is his last opportunity to get a Westspeed bonus being a 4yo and above 1800M. I wonder if this was a reason ?

Adam confirmed on radio this morning that the reason he would probably run Thursday instead of tomorrow was mainly the Westspeed bonus as you suggest.

I have just been looking over my likely top picks for this program

Have apprentices winning 6 of the 8 races - I had a good day on Wednesday when apprentices won 7 of 8 races

Must be the right time of year to take a claim - or is it that the better rated horses get the most weight and therefore look for the claim

I believe he had the choice bewtween the two but would have lost other rides for owners of veneration had he gone with vain spirit
