I was talking to a friend of mine in the 'show horse' equestrian side and she was lamenting how many people with foals didn't/couldn't handle them early enough.Same goes with a lot of us.I reckon if anyone was a genuine foal/ young horse handler and advertised you would have to get a heap of work especially from smaller breeders.

I think it is something I will consider maybe for next season. Cause thats kinda my speciality.

Our most overdue mare foaled36 days late, had the vet check her a couple of times to make sure the foal was still alive, she had a healthy leggy colt by Saxon. whew! We now have a HL colt and filly, a Due Sasso colt and filly and a Saxon colt. The last mare is due in Nov to Bearcat, hopefully we can keep this one alive long enough to race. Our Bearcat 2 yr old was fatally injured at the trainers Tuesday ,she wqas nearly ready to trial and going very well. B**##* horses!

Temperatures forecast to reach the 30's by the end of the week.........will be interesting to see if that brings around a sudden burst in foaling and service rates.

    The 30 day overdue one.
Would expect it to be a big foal being that late, just one would have hoped more of him would be oversized than just his head !!!

Yes, nothing wrong with a big head (long nose) once they're up and running !

Mind you, that photo is the day after he was born so the rest of him not exactly small either.

Gee,don't be disappointed with fillies.Scores on the board in top racing against the boys makes it's own point and don't forget residual value.....and if they're really slow they make great polo horses...lol :D
