    Nothing really jumps off the page at me.

    Will most likely stick with my early bet on rekindled interest and have a small bet on efficient for old times sake

    I was on Helmet for a good collect last start but not convinced he will run the trip even though he has a feather weight im with Eric im going have something on Rekindled Interest there seems to be good pace in it Glass Harmonium,Descarado and Helmet

    Finished 3 lengths ahead of Jimmy Choux in the track gallop.

    Secret Admirer can fly home but will get too far back won't it?

    I give secret admirer none as well. Think its between the favs, rekindled interest not up to this at all imo. Lion tamer appeals at odds.

    Jimmy Choux, Descarado and Lion Tamer the ones to beat.
    Rough chances Rekindled, Pinker, Sincero and Helmet.
    Definitely an open race and a blow-out would not surprise.
    Having not run further than 8 furlongs I couldn't be on Helmet in the toughest 10 furlong race in the world. Sparks flying from the 1000, i reckon he'll be calling for a taxi on the home turn.

    I disagree, i think that sort of racing suits him right down to the ground funkster. 49.5kg on his back and leading aggressively from a wide gate, hes a serious horse who won the fastest guineas EVER and i have no doubt he will be in the finish.

    No doubting his ability, just remains to be seen how far he can get. He'd need to take a sit off Glass Harmonium and hope for some soft mid sectionals.
    I still remember thinking Redoute's would be hard to beat in the Cox after his Guineas win, yet he was gone on the turn.

    Im on Descarado at $41, however I hear that there was some problems with him this morning, something about some swelling in a rear leg? Doesnt bode well going into a race like this....

    Would it be fair to say at the same time of their careers, Helmet has achieved more than So You Think had before his first Cox Plate win? Certainly doesn't mean Helmet is better but if hes in front at the corner they will struggle to get past him with the short straight and featherweight.

    I would have thought Manawanui would have been up to his ears in this Cox Plate, he should just go through the next few races and front up in the Derby, certainly has the class.

    I agree he couldn't lead helmet if they both wanted to. I think Ollie will be looking for a smother in behind helmet and descarado. I think GH is right into iUtica it pans out that way but may find helmet too hard to get past under the wfa conditions

    the horse is about his mark at the $21 mark though. He can win, but surely you couldnt rate him shorter than other horses at around that quote e.g. descarado lion tamer

    Jimmy Choux put in a huge piece of work today.
    Final 800 in around 49s and the last 2 furlong in 23 and a bit.

    Was flat Tuesday after being galloped for about a full circuit 2 days before, but he's ready to roll now.
    Descarado out throws a minor spanner in the works but if some solid tempo up front can get created, expect to see him hit the line like a winning commodity.
