Luckygrey can win the Doncaster ridden correctly[right jocket] and a firm track. He should have won the railway, but was kept at the rare of the feild fumbling, boxed in by the red and white strip army. When he got his run too late, he was like the mighty Quin, or Makaby Diva, just making pretty good horses look avarage, hes Cox Plate material also.

Can I take the odds on that it will be very wet, as per normal since they pushed back the Sydney autumn carnival and therefore would be grossly disadvantaged.
He has only two dangers in the Newmarket, the ridiculous weight he's been allocated and of course Moment Of Change.
Barakey's race was the Oakleigh Plate I doubt he can beat either Moment Of Change or Luckygray off an interrupted prep first up in the Newmarket.

but he is thrown in the donc. with 54, he won't know whats hit him...

The strong likelihood of a wet track and going in a different direction plus the fact he has to travel again and again settle into unknown surroundings works against him for mine and he's not going to beat Pierro on his own dunghill.

I think he is no hope of even going to Syd, after Meb home and get ready for the the Spring and then Perth.
I also think he is a good thing to beat Barakey home in the Newmarket

Reckon your spot on PB 1200m down the straight is like a 7 furlong race and that will suit the Grey better the Jimmys horse

I'm tipping the Queenslander only 50kg plus C. Williams

Obviously a talented horse, but beaten by Shafeeq only a month ago. If Shafeeq was in this race with 48kg, you reckon he would go close? Yeah didnt think so. Massive step up in class compared to a few QLD handicap races.
No harm in trying, but Barakey will beat him home which Luckygray will beat Barakey home. Moment of change is the danger for the grey.

Big unknown is whether he can go the reverse direction.

Saw Lucky grey and Barakey exhibition gallops at Ascot a few Saturdays ago. To my untrained eye Lucky looked the more impressive. Flemington firm going should suit nicely. Plenty of room to gallop. $9.00 fixed odds look juicy.
