I say it because the time seems to be better than reasonable and even those in the field were unlikely to be near their respective best form, he still gaped them.

What would a horse like that be on the market for in the opinion of those on here ? $400-500,000 ?

Not sure what he would be worth
Has there recently been a WA sprint sold to use as a guide ?

And has there been any offers for him

As Flytego and Tax A Million both ran better times would they also be worth over $500k????

I had to do a double check of who posted the above, as i was certain it had to be tivers!!!!!!

As its a gelding i'd suggest the removal of one of those zero's, until it wins a real race, on a real race track, worth real money... Lets not forget it's had two campaigns..One really good, the other not..

Dam has produced 1 listed winner, there is not a lot of black type on the page and the Sire yet to produce a black type winner.
However his form last prep cant be faulted and if he steps up 2 or 3 notches he may just be a sneaky chance in the Winterbottom with a light weight.
Always a query how they will come back as 3 yr old, my guess is around the 150k mark right now, if he shows he has improved in his first up run then the allure of Group 1 success would probably put him around the 450-500k mark :-??

150k ???   he won that in 3 or 4 starts looks like he has come back so cant see why he wont win 3 or 4 this prep

Not a lot come back as "good" horses after a 2 yr old prep ( Bomber Bill is one that comes to mind that did ).

As a raced gelding I would want to see him step up a notch or 2 before considering paying $500k 8->  or thereabouts ( not that I could afford it anyway =)) )

Well I ask all of this because I know he is a good horse, the best rated 2YO in WA I am told by someone who rates all of them each season. But I offered considerable money to purchase him two weeks ago, more than what I paid for Petrol Power, and to date have not even had a phone call.

Untouched?! We must have been watching a different race the last one of his prep?

As a gelding, the more he wins the less he's worth. A 'good' WA sprinter could earn between $600k to a $mil? So minus what he's earned so far, and $400k up would be ' ballpark'? But 4 very good 2 year old wins doesn't make you a good wa sprinter, but fingers crossed.

Looks like he's come back???? Before his first 2yr old campaign he had 4 trial wins in a row, all by good margin. Then comes out and doesn't win a race at ascot.

This time he has had one trial and wins in a good time and he's back??? What was the expectation in the first campaign then???? And how disappointed would those connected to him had of been???

In my opinion he only has to bring the second campaign form back with him and produce at Ascot, and he'd be worth 300k+, but if he cant prove himself on the track where all the big prize money races are, he's not worth a fraction of that.

PS, I hope he comes out and smashes them all, cos I've been won over with the UR story, but hoping doesn't always equate to winning races.... Every one l own, I am hoping will do that..

Gotta remember - 1, 2 or 3 owners - horse out the door for X.

A zillion owners - horse out door for 1.5X or 2X....

    I agree 100%.

Here's hoping he can win some decent races. Universal Ruler stock needs to, so that the boom continues.

@Into It just to clarify...do you like Rebel King or not like him??? I've got confused with your likes and dislikes.. :-??

I'll clarify my position..I like the horse and hope he comes out and repeats his second campaign results at Ascot...

Really like the horse, don't know what
Else he's supposed to do, top 5 on the first seasons sire, nationally and yet reading comments here he still has to jump through hoops. Credit where it's due. And how many mares has he had? Right now my BS meter is on high.
