  Have been to Cup day at Esperance before, always a great day out at a nice track. Cup is very open, my tip Backhouse Street , it's in very good form

  Gold Broker beat a better field last year, and is arguably going better atm.
  
  All depends on how much pestering he gets I suppose. Toned for place as usual

  The one primed for the race and currently at very good each way odds is The Cavalieri. Not one I would normally tip but it has run close on occasions behind Lucciola and has been a regular in recent stewards reports. I think it will win the Cup.
  
  Backhouse Street is an old favourite of mine and I would like to see it win but I think it will finish second on this occasion.
