Got home and watched the recorded Pinjarra trots - had a few bets and watched how they went

Race 8 - had a box trifecta - which i got - however i kicked myself because the 4 i boxed would have got the 1st 4
But for the 5th time this year ( yes thats right) the judge has put the wrong numbers- Maximum Demand ( no 11) ran 4th but they paid out on Might Be Luck (9) 2 metres behind it

Aussie Delight at Bunbury 3 weeks ago - ran 3rd - judge put it 4th -the last race at Pinjarra 3 or 4 mths ago - they did the same thing - and there have been 2 others . You read the stewards report - same thing - " we have been alerted after dividends have been paid - that their is a major error with the placings"

Its not good enough - it is gross incompetance - McDermott the caller doesnt help - because every time it has happened - he has called them incorrectly - and the judge goes with him- dont they look at the print - its not nose margins - its 2-3 metres - unbelievable
+1 -1

Thats a disgrace and somebody needs to be held accountable by being sacked. It's that simple. No wonder the sport is going backwards

I heard this race on the radio waiting for Northam the caller said judges numbers are blah blah checking 4th its gone to Maximum d before being cut off by the host so something has happend after that

In the official stewards report - it says the numbers are wrong - but the judge has done everything correctly - but the TAB have paid out on the wrong numbers - and that they will further investigate it - to see what caused that .
Bottom line is - its gross incompetance somewhere

What doesnt help ( but it should be irrelevant - if the right systems were in place) - is race caller M McDermott has great difficulty in calling the 4th horse correctly in a number of races

The latest Pinjarra race he caled Maximum Demand 9th (even though it ran a clear 4th) and he called Might Be Luck 4th ( even though it ran 5th) and the TAB paid out on M McDermotts call of 4th spot

I would be filthy if i missed out on that 1st 4 - your looking at around $3000 - and it has happened 5 times in the last 12 months

Just watched the replay. Absolutely terrible call, got tangled up with the first three and did not call the rest until they had virtually pulled up.

Can't use the call as an excuse for the judge however as it wasn't even close.

I don't know the facts, but taking what is said above is true, that is almost criminal given the resources.

And it's not the callers fault. No way. He could call the wrong horses the entire race and it doesn't change the fact the judges got the numbers wrong.

Sounds like the judge got it right but the transfer of the information to the TAB was where the error was made.

Apologies to the Judge. I guess I meant the process.

You'll find the judge gave the correct numbers but the commentator has relayed the numbers back to the TAB as 7,10,8 and 9 (by accident as he said 7,10,8 and 11 moments prior). As to how in this day and age we rely on the commentator relaying it through to the TAB instead of there being a better process is beyond me.

I can assure you guys 110% this time was definitely not the judges fault.

The Stewards Report does appear to absolve the Judge.

Lets hope that they inform the betting public when they locate the source of the error.
