    Knew about it several hours ago, been officially denied at this stage by the way, internal review, restructuring etc, etc obviously going to be fed straight to the West in order to put their spin on it.

    Rumours of a big pay out as well, whether that's true or not is debatable, absolute joke though if that part is true.

    I would've thought a 2 minute phone call to Mr O'Reilly would have given you all the info that you needed. Ring Phil at 10am, write the story by 11am. Hardly seems like an all day activity to me!?!?!?!

    I dealt with Phil during a management drama in a syndicate I was involved in ( manager stole winnings and tried selling horse).
    I found Phil to be a great help and a knowledgeable person who helped us find some ways to change manager over so in my opinion good luck to him in all future endeavors.

    I've got a really good friend on here that detests the man for what he did to a mate of his.....and I respect that opinion. But I only ever find those who have been on the wrong side of the law that hate and detest him....His job was to investigate those on the wrong side of the law.
    NO ONE likes being found out if they are bending the laws'. He is a bloke that held this role for years and years...And every case he got involved in was controversial, not just the few you mention above.
    I don't reckon his personality lends him to being the way forward for RWWA, but gee that tough "F..K YOU" attitude was really needed in years gone by........

    The few people who were on the right side of the law and went to him for help couldn't find a better advocate to have on their side.

    The many of us who found ourselves on the wrong side of the law and had to face up to Phil's questioning, we all wished he had gone on leave the week before!!!

    Mate I had never been in trouble for anything ever either criminally or on the racetrack and had a spotless reputation, the bloke in my opinion is pond scum, pure and simple and was involved in torpedoing not one but two lucrative Singapore positions that I had gained.

    One when RWWA wasn't in existence and I wouldn't have known him from a bar of soap and the other when RWWA did exist and still have no idea why, other than I tell the truth and don't swallow the party propaganda line that is fed to the rest of the WA racing media sycophants.

    Actually in my opinion to call the bloke pond scum is being grossly unfair and disrespectful to pond scum.

    A major step forward for the industry to see the last of him, in his position it's not only essential to possess unquestionable integrity you have to carry the perception of unquestionable integrity and in my opinion and the opinion of majority of the industry he had neither.

    Accountable for what blatant lies and complete and utterly concocted fantasy.

    For my not being allowed to ever present irrefutable evidence gathered by the following day after I had recovered from that state of shock I was in, that would have saved the industry hundreds of thousands in needless legal fees you mean that kind of accountability and not being involved in either directly or indirectly a knowingly false police complaint, you mean that kind of accountability!!!
