KALGOORLIE 8/05 - Race 1 Connections of (9) SUAVE SINGA have advised Steward's that the mare will race with pads ON both front. #waracing

    WTF!

FFS, I had Make Your Move in the early quaddy and I get knocked off by the rising 12yo Zuboyne who hadn't won for 2143 days! That's almost 6 years!!!!!!!! Unbelievable...

...and a 10/10 ride from a 4kg claimer who had ridden 1 winner in 61 attempts! Just not meant. It was going to pay huge. Corporates dodged a bullet...again.

Zuboyne had 72 straight starts where it didn't win. Today it cost me about 5k I reckon  :((

Those selections prove my lack of enthusiasm is warranted. :D

Who's the bright spark that scheduled the Kal meeting so late that it was too dark to run the last? Surely you need at least a 30 minute buffer. They called off the last less than 20 minutes after the sceduled start time  =))
What about the poor owners/trainers who travelled...

Not for the first time punters are left in the dark.

They could have let the race start and therefore trial night racing at Kalgoorlie

It was called off because a punter fell ill and was taken off by the ambulance so they couldn't start the race. Then, if the reason was bad light was because it was too late after the ambulance had got back

They called them off because it would have been too dark by the time the ambulance got back. That means the last race was scheduled too late in the day. They called them off less than 20 minutes after the last was scheduled to be run.
p.s I just had a look at the corresponding meeting last year. Last year the last race was scheduled for 4.32pm, this year 4.50pm. Obviously a dopey move.
