The run home for Raceday finals

With Saturday marking the final meeting for the Raceday season, those in the hunt will use it as a last chance to cement their position in the finals.

The finals format will be different this year with an AFL-style second chance award to the top 32. The top 16 will have two opportunities to redeem themselves after a loss.

All 64 competitors will line up on Perth Cup day against a single opponent with 1st playing 64th in a do-or-die contest to qualify to the next round.

The length of the finals will primarily depend on the success of the top 32 as bottom 32 competitors will need to continue winning against failing top 32/16 competitors to make it to the instant eliminators. 

thefalcon has been dominant all the season with only the recently missing spitz ever challenging. One could be forgiven for second guessing rustyh in 3rd position, however he has take a rough route to victory and been successful in cementing his first chance at Raceday success.

    One could be forgiven for second guessing rustyh in 3rd position, however he has taken a 'roughie and Wrinkly' route to victory and been successful in cementing his first chance at Raceday success.

    Finals are setup and open.

    I tragically fell out of the top 64 with my pitiful effort yesterday. I hate this game.

    and I relinquished top spot.....should have scrubbed the comp and left it for tomorrow... X(

    Game on. I have had about 7 seconds this seasons. So I have a 1 in 2 chance of getting back into winners circle. Oh the stress of it all .Good luck to my opponent Thumper :) Not :P

    Just checked my tips Seems I was with reef keeper somehow pretty sure I did not select it . Maybe I was too **** last night lol

    Nah coldy..we were allocated that as it was the tote fav(sub).

    Street Fury allocated in r2.

    Hope my next pick actually starts the mfn race..

    Should still be 3rd rusty.

    Qualified competitors get a week off, these are the final 7 to get through to the eliminators. This is the final week to qualify.

    Blokes like Flicky & elliscameron have lost twice but remain in the game because of their top 16 finish. Competitors like mikeboag have won twice but need to keep winning given they finished 64.

    it's always been 5 minutes across the board, however due to the fact you can effectively hit the front and then tip the same as your opponent for the rest of the card it's been set to 50mins.
