Kalgoorlie has arrived. The 2022 Round.

West Australian Racing
Bit of a smell in the air for the 2022 version of the Round, many attending, not myself sadly.

Initially I thought the fields were a touch week but now I think they're all-rounded. Many chances.

Any early predictions?

I think stablemate will lead Thunder (Well I hope it does  B-))
Been a bit of money for Titan Blinders though.
    Creator needs a firm Track.

Heading up early Thursday morning for my 1st time.
    Leading with
    Western Temple/Staralign
Solaia will sit 3 back the fence and last run was not that bad!Hopefully feet issues are sorted and gets room in the straight.

R1 Craygee presuming York didn't suit so could be a a best bet
R6 Hole In One. Recent runs below par but will be a massive improver here
R7 Outrageous ex eastern stater back on firmer track great chance at long odds and so is Solaia. Back one and save on the other
R8 Very keen on Rosicapalla and Balladeer a saver. You can back both at the odds

Just doing the replays of the last Kal meeting. I noticed the saddle slipped right back on winner No Whispering. Despite this, Lucy Warwick rode hard hands and heels. She must be a well balanced rider with the confidence to do that.

half your luck, rooby. keep off that bloody hannans lager.

correct rodent, nothing like seeing lucy getting those legs going in a tight finish. all in concert with the horse, a sight for sore eyes.

Topical tip in the opener then Falc, Boozeroo back onto a good deck and down in grade can kick off the program with a winner.Donga rides this one too and has been in good form lately.

Dmac (caller) at his finest in race 5
Recalled never got in front of the second horse until the post at their last stride yet he’s called it hitting the front and home 200 out :-S
Anyone listening on the wireless would’ve been counting their cash halfway up the straight

Yep hash.. I am in Bali donating from afar n thought race 6 was terrible..Maybe I had had a few bintangs but there were to many.. ahead of the others etc etc..calls
Thought I was having a stroke.. even past the line he seemed a bit confused.
Not sure maybe he had a off day..

It’s a tough gig no doubt but to get it so obviously wrong is concerning, if a mug like me can see watching from an iPhone screen then a professional like Darren in a tower with binoculars should have it nailed on
Glad the photo went the way it did anyway regardless of the nerve racking call

How close would Solaia have finished without the interference in the straight? Will pay to follow.

Will head down to y bar today..was listening on radio
My driver said the bookie/ Ybar tab got into some problems or owners did with police chief or someone not paying up and he wasn’t there anymore..
    Will see later.

Apparently one of the australian owner's married the sister of the police chief back in the day, so they never had that problem. Trouble in paradise?

I noticed Donga jumped off it and rode the winner who has grown a leg..again, fairly plain bunch and there was a massive gap from 3rd to the rest.

Ex Eastern Stater Can't Be Done has to be the biggest drift from favoured choice of all time 3.3. to $21. I had to back it 4 times  :D
