They are winning races because they are the best by panels of fences.

Which begs the question, why wait until now to plead guilty? Why not admit it when charged and avoid this whole farce?

Everyone of their winners are swabbed and they would o right into them ai would imagine.

I honestly personally think they are the best in this state but stand to be corrected if proved wrong.

Pike says there is no won better to prepare a horse for a set race than them.

They had to plead guilty because the horse was presented to the races with a banned substance. This doesn’t mean they plead guilty to giving him anything. Big difference!! Any trainer that presents a horse to the races with a banned substance in their system has no choice but to plead guilty to presentation

Some strange comments here. They will carry on training etc etc. All they have done is used what ever legal yes legal avenues are open to them. As most people in the position would .  Now that they have pleaded to the charge. It is know up to the stewards to impose a disqualifacation or fine. How is that (Williams ) fault he cant decide upon what fate they get. And yes i agree Squiddy that most probaly is a load of **** but seems you have fallen into it seeing you posted it.

Anyone think they will get time or just a fine ?

Bloody auto correct. What I meant to say was team williams would never knowingly do something like this as their impeccable history would suggest.

Well according to the RWWA site, it is for a date to be notified. That in itself is curious, as they no longer want negative publicity. So if a result is known, it will need to be brain stormed as to how to report the outcome.

In respect to publicity, compared to 20 years ago, WA Racing gets around 8% of the column space once devoted to sport in The West Australian newspaper and are lucky to get that when you consider that 60,000 go to the game across the road and around 60 go to Belmont on the same afternoon.

The focus of RWWA at the moment is the heart warming story of the battle for the Trainers premiership, as a result, the outcome of the Williams matter is not expected this season. I'm informed by a well placed source, that only a fine will be eventually given (expected to be capped at $20,000) but RWWA are searching for someone brave enough to make that decision and in all likely hood won't be published until September when the AFL Grand Final is on and hopefully the outcome will be lost in the reams of stories of Grand Final Week.

Damien so you blame the reduction in racing content in the media on Perth Racing despite this being replicated in every single state of the country.  Victoria Derby used to get 120k attending and now get around 75k.  The Friday before the Cox plate you are more likely to see an AFL trade story on the back page of the Age than a racing column.

We know you have an axe to grind but to blame national and even international trends solely at the hands of Perth Racing is obviously disingenuous but suits your narrativ

Nothing to do with Perth Racing this is a RWWA issue. I can't believe people read something that is not written or commented on.

Ok so change Perth racing to RWWA.  Is the column space in the local paper and lack their of isolated to this state or an obvious national trend?  Do you put the decline of horse racing on the national sporting landscape at the feet of RWWA?

I can’t believe some people can’t see issues that clearly need to be tackled at the national level and want to blame the local bodies.

ohhh dont worry there's a local trotting trainer and regular forum poster who does the exact same thing , RWWA is apparently the root of every problem regardless of national trends showing its an Australian wide issue not just an isolated WA issue

The Local bodies that manage all racing are generally led by a CEO, GM that are paid hefty salaries eg RWWA CEO 600k plus per annum plus others on very high salaries,so as far as i'm  concerned they are  responsible. The buck stops with them.
