Two meetings in two days last week at Doomben. You're on a hiding to nothing submitting tips on a Friday morning based purely on form.

The ride on Tella Tall Tale, race 5 at Charlton wasn't any better. Surrendered the lead to the stablemate and when that horse was headed it was stuck on the pegs. The driver didn't try to get off until he knew the stable mate and race fav was going …

Four opponents and one, the short price fav, gallops in the score up and he sits at the rear of the field? Spare me.

@chelsea Would you have expected Disposition to be so far forward last year? It was midfield in the Guineas and its racing pattern up until then was to get back. Pike will push forward, absolutely no doubt about that otherwise he would have stuck w…

I just realised I've backed Luckygray(2nd), Disposition(2nd) and Delicacy(2nd) in the last three years of this race. :((
-
Does anyone know if they deliberately avoid using the whip on Delicacy? I noticed in the SA Derby Hall didn't really use it to get her moving into the race. Surely if he uses it-and he has unlimited strikes at his disposal over the last 100m-she win…

I'm prepared to bet against Magic Artist on this track. Delicacy and Blackwood for me.

track manager watered the track in the last 24 hrs... fair dinkum Wow ;))

It's good to see Ascot on 521 8->

Don't worry the Kavanagh training legacy will continue... SamMarkLevi???? [-X

i doubt he'll ride Perfect Reflection upside down... having said that, i reckon Man booker and london line will go forward. the only other pace is hazzabeel. What odds will you lay that Blackwood goes forward? Parnham spoke of that post race after …
-
If Magic Artist has equal luck he will win the KT in a canter...but seems to find trouble in his runs and with that barrier could find himself 3/4 back on the fence and too short a straight and too many horses to weave.... The jockey goes pretty go…
-
@chelsea I actually think Blackwood is the 3yo who will get all the favours up on the pace. If PR is ridden back I don't expect it to be a winning chance. If a swooper wins it will swoop on an on pacer unless they over cook the tempo and the leaders…
-
@dungy Where have those 3yos been in the run, though? Samantha Miss had just 47.5kg in the Cox Plate and she hardly grew wings despite having HUGE weight swings. Weight doesn't matter in sprints because it doesn't stop them accelerating. It matters …

Like the new "Pike & Peters show"graphics @thediva :-bd

a regular zena....bet she is itching for a ro*t...... @-) anybody who thinks our nags can beat the german horse are in la-la land....4 bucks is a gift. I think the scary thing is the only reason they're in Perth is because they didn't get an invite …
-
@HBomber Hazzabeel should roll forward, too. It's just a matter of how much early pace is put into the race. I agree RE Perfect Reflection. I'm not sure the weight difference will amount to anything if she tries to sprint with Delicacy from back in …

the German horse is as close to a moral that u will ever see.... :-B :-$
-
@willy_jones I thought it was Perfect Reflection or Magic Artist. I assumed the filly would push forward regardless of the barrier. Hearing that is not the case, I guess that leaves the German horse-who is more adaptable and can race midfield or sli…

@thediva Didn't Mark Read's daughter field in Melbourne for awhile? She may still be there for all I know. I wonder if @bookielover can shed light on it? But what I do remember was she had a telescope and would check the prices of rivals with that i…

@gray Still has his tackle intact as well. So they're not coming over for the scenery.
-
A horse like Black Heart Bart is going to find it hard to win if the jockey rides to the rules on Saturday. He needs more than five strikes before the 100m to get going and he never wins by much. They will be off and gone before it's a free-for-all …

Perfect Reflection apparently going BACK. I don't think it can win from there.
-
I don't think there would be too many jockeys concerned about breaching that p!ss ant whip rule they have in... could you see yourself if you were a jockey concentrating and counting the amount of time you hit a horse before the final 100 if you wer…

Yes, I would have expected Disposition to be close to the pace in last years race. As it raced close to the pace in the Guineas I think the Barrier Draw will determine where she could possibly settle? Must go ,off to the barrier draw funtion for a…

With the new whip rules that means five strikes before the final 100m. If Delicacy gets back it will be over a long way from home as the backmarkers will need to get on their bike chasing those upfront with just 50kg
