I agree with your summation Rodent however it looks bad when written. Totally different when those kinds of words are spoken. You can hear the jest. Nothing that an apology and an assurance wouldn’t fix... on this point alone I might add.
-
the problem is it is hard to ascertain what is toungue in cheek in written form...

I don’t know the exact rules with regard to these kinds of things and I don’t know if Rio is licensed or a participant but without knowing the context of the comment posted by Rodent attributed to Rio surely at face value it justifies a please expla…

Respectfully why don’t you show everyone how to breed something superior to what is being offered?
-
as Far as interest in Racing beyond gambling goes Carey correct me if I am wrong. You haven’t gambled for a long time but yet you have still posted approximately 6000 tines on a dedicated WA based forum from your home on the east coast. As long as …

As the only blood stock agent on here (as far as I can tell) how is he going relative to other second season sires like Pierro for example.
-
Really kicking on now. Big lead in second season sires by winners and prize money.
-
Manners please.
-
I don't disagree with your points regarding racing. Just that the number of your posts don't indicate that you have 'no interest' in racing. It could be that the remaining interest you have is to remind everyone now what your interest in racing was …
-
Just saying it seems incongruous that you say you have no interest in racing but come on a racing forum to tell everyone you have no interest in racing.
-
Equal number of winners as first season sire with Your Song. Not much more you could do when much of your racetrack success came as as a 3 YO.
-
'Going going gone' not picking a fight but you are here every day. Incongruous. Let it go mate if that's what you believe. Sincerely.
-
10 winners now in his 2 yo season. Good chance to win first season sire honours both with prize money and number of winners.
-
Owner of FAE has got 100 mill or so. Maybe he would like to win some good races and is not overly perturbed about the travel costs to achieve it.
-
I remember this debate. Didn't you value All to Hard at a few hundred k and suitable to stand in Tasmania just before he was sold for circa 25 million? Thankfully Nathan Tinkler didn't have you valuing his bloodstock otherwise he would have done hi…

Colin could definitely have been afforded more respect however I believe his attitude towards racing was already set for other reasons that are private. As for the state being 'pharqued' we are hardly flying at the moment although I am not putting t…

Garrard form stacks up big time if trainer decides karrakatta.
-
Seannie. I'd be surprised if that's not your karrakatta winner right there. Apparently does have some soundness issues though.
-
Falcon Crest was a brilliant run. Most unlike the Durrant stable to get one so completely wrong and move it on.
-
Khwaga. Will be an extraordinary effort to keep him until then but will eat up the 2400

Well I love the local sale. I love this time of the year, in particular perusing the catalogue and seeing if the ones you like on paper stack up in the flesh. Ok it is bereft of the pedigrees you find at other sales but there are always some good on…

Confusing myself! Easier to spend other people's money than your own is what I meant.
-
Certainly wasn't asserting that you or any other agent 'throws away other people's money'. Apologies if that's how it came across. Just that human nature would say that usually it's more difficult to part with someone else's money than your own. In …

Plus one of my filters is attempting to find 2YO's. Then you don't have to compete with BP and the talent pool is very shallow.
-
Maybe. I think he would have graded this seasons carnival as a fail. Did BP's 3 YO step up to the mark this year? For what I assume he spent I would assume this year has been awful. His last few years before that have been unbelievable granted.
-
Interesting. I take almost a 100% different view with regard the east coast sales. I am not planning on competing against a rampant east coast economy to bring a yearling home and race for 38k. I would rather use my usual filters and purchase locall…

Carey, Your comment above took me a long time to learn theoretically. And then it happened a few times with horses I owned. Obviously it is not a rule but I reckon you are spot on. One of the biggest misconceptions in horse racing.
-
I think he supports West Coast. Probably not the main message of the post though.
-
Some effort then by new trainer! Hadn't really done much in its career before injury. It's only Kal I know but it's humming.
-
Ouch. Couldn't be a nice feeling when you sell a horse to Kal, it wins 3 on the bounce and in the process beats your runner home by 7 lengths. Particularly when you paid 180k for it.
