but para WHY in Gods name would Waller do or be agreeable to anything shonkie? WHY would Schofield, one of Wallers retained riders do anything so stupid as to "hook one"? He hooked it or he had a Josh Cartwright level brain snap. There's pressure fr…

Problem is it will be $1.50 next start so if you backed it the only hope you have of feeling vindicated is if they rub him out.
-
Glad they're serious about asking questions. I backed it and anyone who saw it knows it should have won.

What was Whiting doing?
-
No walking in WA staying races anymore. I must have missed that memo for the last 5 yrs? Wayside got waaay out of his ground there McGruddy got played big time.

Randwick a Heavy 9 atm..when will Sydney get a good track Oct/Nov. ? We're waaaaay ahead of you :D http://www.smh.com.au/sport/horseracing/racing-nsw-look-to-hold-race-meeting-on-sydney-harbour-bridge-20170414-gvl2g9.html

Think in a loose sort of way Pikey is not a bad example...seen him win the Challenge time after time even for a whole week inclusive...however have also seen him go down at $1.04 , $1.03 , $1.02 and today a new record of $1.01. Champion hoop - howev…

@Ridersonthestorm33 He also got rolled on another fav in a staying race. If he goes forward he gets taken on. If he takes a sit he strikes trouble. I'm not sure who does his form or whether he does it himself but the bloke needs a decent speed map.
-
@Ridersonthestorm33 If you believe the TAB there was a punter who had $15k @ 3.5 on Bonneval in the ATC Oaks last Saturday. Flucs were $3.5-4.2. That 'genius'-if they exist- cost him or herself $10.5k-more than 2/3 of their initial stake b-(

Racing Australia says same(6m) both days. I guess we work with that but I'd still be looking for a pattern if they're racing over the same ground.
-
Have they said that somewhere? CRIS and racebook say 6m, same as today which would be odd. I think peterman must have been looking at Dongara It says 6m Friday, True Sat in my copy of The Sportsman :-/
-
Rail back in the true after being out 6m today. It will be interesting to note if there's any bias evident after the first cpl of races.
-
Hi Harry. I'm glad you didn't leave me out this time :-h
-
Looking forward to the same meeting next year already 8-> :-bd
-
@bookielover I agree. And you will notice I made only a passing reference to religion in my original post. That being said, if you object to racing today for any other reason than religion then you must object to racing EVERY Friday. The only tradit…

i ate bacon this morning... and Ive had a bet todayand Ive taken a bet todayI havent had beer yet.... but its coming. @TheDiva You're a bookie. I think it's eternity in purgatory not matter what you do. May as well enjoy yourself [-O< >:)

@bookielover Pray tell(pun intended), which church doth protest too much back in '57 about falling attendances because of the AFL panel show? 'Christian' means either Catholic or Anglican does it not? It must have been those moooslems, they are to b…

@bookielover If Perth racing want to put a meeting on a Friday, good luck to them. I'll be watching. As far as the Catholic church and morals go, surely you write that with a heavy dose of irony?

If you think the Pinjarra Cup was bad, this, surely, was worse? Race 4(1800m) Stewards report says his foot 'slipped' out of the irons. I don't know why he was shifting his weight anyway. There looked to be a huge gap to push through if he wanted it…

Why indeed. I'd be wary of her getting sick lest she drink from that putrid Yarra river. Waller was suggesting she may run in the Hill Stakes instead of the Yalumba/Caulfied Stakes prior to the CP. She loves Sydney and Sydney loves her :x Bowman s…

I did read your post but I've also read the many posts where you maintain Douglas Whyte and Lindsay Smith gifted Darren Weir the KT. I'd say you have a naturally cynical disposition. Parnham was punked twice in two days on favs in staying races. Wi…

You can't expect the other riders to allow an odds on fav to go to the lead with no pressure and turn a staying race into a sit and sprint. It may happen more than it should but if you're on the fav you should realise you've got a target on your bac…
-
@detonator I was on the fav and it was the second leg of an all up( @thefalcon was right in this case). I don't have an issue with rivals testing out an odds on fav, it's more the fact that initiative is apparently only used selectively. Warwick sa…

The Championships..... =)) Rival to the spring carnival ? :-?? Well only the best will do for the champ and Winx has shunned Flemington her entire career and it's possible she may never run there :D
-
They would never attack Parnham when he was an apprentice. He tried to put the breaks on in the Derby, too and that was a mess. All of a sudden rival hoops have learned what initiative is.
-
Looking at that field for race 4 it was inevitable D Mac was going to have a 'blonde' moment in the call. ;))
-
Good on them for having a try, but in hindsight it shows you cannot rock up and win. The lead up races are important and are stronger than maidens! Too right. Every year the Eastern States horses' trainers think that the Railway is a soft target bu…
