He has a couple of good rides this month with Trading Day looking towards the Guineas, Starfiled Image the Jungle Mist and Justine Erklens giving him rides on handy horses.
Hopefully he can start stringing a few wins together.
Would have to be the dumbest rule in the history of the world, utterly ridiculous. Would love to know who the morons are that come up with it.
Willie is riding well though, his confidence is growing as he gets on some better horses.
I asked this question in another thread, similar situation with DRM, and is it fair that a rider breaches the rules be it unintentional or intentional and makes the difference of a win or a lost. Is this fair on punters etc, as the rider can say fuk it I'm prepared to risk a $500 fine to make sure this wins. To me this is a serious breach of the law if there action is intentional.
Regardless of we agree or disagree with the rule, if it is in place it must be abided.
I believe the horse wasn't going to win until he put the whip away, if you watch closely he was hitting the horse so quick he was actually hitting him out of stride.
fined $100 for overuse of the whip at Northam?
Seems crazy that for a repeat offence you get fined a lesser amount, especially when you see some not so high profile Jockeys getting $1500 fines for whip use breaches!
