I welcome it. I have spent a lot of time betting UK totes and they do not offer 'flexi' betting on ANY exotic wagers (exacta, trifecta etc) so to have a trifecta with 4 horses boxed you have to pay a minimum 50 pence unit which costs you £12, as you know. As a result, exotic wagering is of rare interest to UK punters, it is simply not utilised and a knock on is the pools are often small. Australian horse racing and punting is in excellent financial shape and that is completely supported by the interest of punters wagering. No betting = no racing. UK horse racing is struggling, very little interest and I personally think if they opened up flexi betting and some schooling of the novelty bets they could see better interest.

Locally, I would say that opening the quinella, exacta and doubles pools to flexi betting will also attract more punters/money which is likely to even out the dividends....if not pay more. In my opinion.

It's here..lets get excited!!!! from an e-mail sent to me, and probably all account holders....

Get more bang for your buck with Flexi betting now on Quinella, Exacta and Doubles.

Flexi betting is now available on all novelty bets across all channels from today, Tuesday 8 January, 2013.

    What this means for you?
Flexi betting is a great way to get more for your dollar! You can now take more combinations for the same spend, giving you more ways to win. Once you have made your selections, simply nominate the total amount you wish to spend.

It's hard to say. Win punters could tell you their average divi over time and I presume those who are heavily into novs might be able to do the same. What I do know that there can be huge differences in the novelty payouts depending on which betting agency you use. One still has to be able to pick em however.

Parlez? is that for 3 legs ? I would be winning that as well except when the quaddies pay a couple of hundred.

parlays are an excellent bet type, in victoria your able to a win in one leg, place in another, or eachway for that same horse just means that the bet cost doubles and you can even include a quinella/s in the other legs... they are the ultimate mug novelty bet type lol probably why i rate them so much
