My top 5 would be Knuckey, Harvey, Pike, O'Donnell and Carbery in no particular order. Smith would come in about 86th. :D

Where I examine things, Smith had the worse F(x) by miles, lower than 4kg apprentices

Disagree Darkshines from a mug punter's point of view Smith gives every ride a decent crack from an odds on pop to a 50 $ chance unlike some of the above mentioned. Your probably going to pull out stats and shit, but I have no hesitation getting around him.

In YOUR opinion. And this about opinions given that if you want the top 5 statistically, you could have that info very easily.

Harvey . Pike . Smith. Knuckey whiting. Smith would be
One of the most aggressive jockeys going around gives every horse a chance of running in the money . He could ride my horse any day

Care to put YOUR opinion accross Paulo?? Curious

    Sure. In no particular order;

Pike, Harvey, Smith, Staeck, and I still have a spot for Kyra Yuill despite a recent form drop following injury.

Harvey is and will always be #1 no matter what anyone says, his record speaks for itself
    Pike the next best (obvious)
Donga not far behind him (excellent profit on return S/R)
and Whiting, Knuckey, Carbery, McGruddy and possibly Turner in a 5 way deadheat for third :P

I agree with you Hash, but add Noske and Staeck to that cluster behind the top 3..

Also agree with Paulo, I have some time for Kyra, she just needs to get a few home. She has the ability to be well in the Top 10.

Interesting the Parnham boys haven't copped a mention as yet.

Presumably you use the public odds for this though?

The problem with that is they have the public's perceived riding ability built in to the odds, you need a variable where there is no jockey ability involved.

harvey is the best and will be probly be the best wa has seen could ride any where and be good clearly 1 pike 2 is so frustrating so good at times and so bad at other times then the rest all the same just take turns lol
  • Marco Chui rides some long price winners, given the same opportunities as others he would have to be right up there for me.

To be honest Battler, MC among other jocks (I don't want to name) are as capable of running an average horse in to money as they are a favourite in to dust. It's really not a great pool of talent. I would LOVE to see some genuine talent emerge with consistency.

Clearly top mmmm hasnt wona jocks title or a major race for 5 years ,i agree when the Ponty is in the mood which these days is about 3-4 months a year he has no peer but as a fan of the Wiz i will judge him when he has reached Pontys age as by then there will be a smoke paper between them

ahhhh the pontif all the way for mine [-O<
and clinto goes pretty good also

Surely staeck is on top, don't know the stats of the top of my head but pike struggles to win big races unlike staeck..!
Pike a clear 2nd because of his riding style, and p Harvey 3rd.
Chui is 4th for his riding style, needs to get more recognised of what a good jock he is and get more city rides
Every one else is under these, as they are only good on there day.

Many of the above-mentioned jockeys would be as good as the next IF they were given the cattle in my opinion. Confidence grows once the results come and the better rides keep coming as a result. Snowball effect.
