Paul Harvey clearly top....then Dan Staeck, Donga, Pike and Shooter Mcgruddy in that order!

Clearly top mmmm hasnt wona jocks title or a major race for 5 years ,i agree when the Ponty is in the mood which these days is about 3-4 months a year he has no peer but as a fan of the Wiz i will judge him when he has reached Pontys age as by then there will be a smoke paper between them
    What age is Willie Pike?

I'm assuming Pike is 25 to 30 yo. If he grows up as a rider he will be unstoppable IF he keeps getting the rides he gets now. It has been seen plenty of times with the likes of Pont and O'donnell and more that many jocks hit their straps well into their 30's. If Willie has what it takes between the ears he could probably be one of the best jocks in the country not just here in Perth.
The concern is that he pulls the wrong rein too often on horses that should be just winning. Rides them for luck instead of for what they are---- the best horse in the race. If he rode smarter he would be absolutely dominating the jocks list here like Pont did for years. Horses run for him no doubt but they can't levitate over a slowy in front of him.

Pike is a victim of his major owners preferred racing pattern...

Spot on mate ,at the age Pike was when he first went to HK ,Ponty was struggling to get a ride in town at the same age .Pontiff didnt have a drop of competition until Pike came along says a lot for our jock ranks doesnt it he had the whole game to himself for years and years any wonder he didnt re locate to Melbourne and did very well out of it but stats says since Pike came to town and out rode his claim he has won more major races and more Jock titles at the same time Ponty takes fewer rides .
I agree he seems to pull the wrong rein he zigs when he should zag he rides them to cute at times but again as i a say he makes mistakes as does Ponty and the rest just the better ones make less i think its just a matter of time until he goes free lance in regard to the Peters horses .

Harvey was a great rider about 5 to 6 years ago, the best for a long time but he is no where near that now, always lay him on betfair as people love to back him. He is greedy as it cost a fair bit of coin just to get him on a horses back.
    1) Pike
    2) Shaun O'Donnell
    3) Jarrad Noske
    4) Lucas Camilleri (now that he is back in WA)
    5) Jason Brown

Most underrated Jock in no particular order
    Shooter McGruddy
    Shaun Meeres
    Marco Chui
    Alan Kennedy
Mark Forder (but sometime he just gets it wrong)
