R1. Westspeed Stayers\' Bonus Handicap - Scott Embry
I have a feeling this will be a casual Sunday stroll with nobody overly keen to lead. I see Lucy rolling forwards with Black Uma who returns to the track after over a year on the sidelines and I think she can lead and control the tempo. First-up over 2000m he is definitely not a betting proposition but this race lacks depth and quality so I'm happy enough to tip him on top as the value. Mystic Prince is obviously the one to beat. He has been given every single favour his last two and should get them again here. Anything over about $2.50 would tempt most. Battle Ace made ground on a heavily leader bias track last week and I think he can play a part in the finish.

Zarantz is a regular on this preview, I still have a big opinion of him and even though he drops back to a mile here I think he can prove too strong. The tempo should be genuine with iron mare Fathnoxious likely to roll along out in front. Zarantz hopefully will settle a bit closer to the pace and grind over them with the fitness edge in his legs. Top Show will most likely have to come from last and will be finishing down the middle alongside little mare Need a Lift. They will both appreciate a genuine tempo. Fathnoxious was undone by 2000m last start and looks much better suited over a mile.
6. ZARANTZ - 5. TOP SHOW - 3. FATHNOXIOUS
SUGGESTED BET - 6. ZARANTZ $30 x $30
Cool Trade looks a weight special with a massive 3kg drop for being beaten a nose by Rebel King. On the other end of the spectrum he must carry an extra 2.5kg. The massive weight swing in favour of Cool Trade makes her one, if not the, best bet of the day. A small field should suit and it would be no surprise to see her cross and lead. Never missed the money second-up and a 4 time winner at 1200m this Listed Feature looks hers for the taking. Wink and a Nod was heavily supported last start before settling a bit too far back with Lucy trying to pinch runs to save ground. Meets Cool Trade 2kg worse at the weights for her defeat but should appreciate a small field. Rock Magic is always a chance but lumps a big weight relative to the mares. Happy to label Smoko as the lay of the day.
5. COOL TRADE - 6. WINK AND A NOD - 1. ROCK MAGIC
SUGGESTED BET - 5. COOL TRADE $50 x $50
Zuccheros' last start win over 1200m was nothing short of emphatic. 1300m looks right up his alley and the race should be run to suit. Carrying only 55kg from a gun barrier he should be a safe investment in the closing leg of the early quadrella. Should settle midfield and be saved for one last burst of speed. McScar is one I'm happy to throw up at odds, currently about 50-1 which I think is probably overs. Last week he would have slept for atleast 3 days after the deadset shocker Kate Fitzgerald gave him. Slowly away he was urged forwards to sit outside War Prince as they set a new sectional record out in front. He faded badly in the straight but all things considered it wasn't the worst effort at all. Danablue can figure in the finish, run off his feet first-up in the HG Bolton behind Rebel King, this is miles easier.
4. ZUCCHEROS - 10. MCSCAR - 2. DANABLUE
SUGGESTED BET - 4. ZUCCHEROS $25 x $25
Putting the class dropper Mad Brad on top in the opening leg of the quaddie. First-up effort behind Rock Magic and Rebel King over an unsuitable 1000m in the Beaufine was a cracker and second-up behind Rebel King in the HG Bolton he was far from disgraced finishing alongside talented types in Rock Magic, Trading Day and Pinninci. Extremely well weighted with 57.5 after the claim for Johnson-Porter I think Mad Brad can win this. I see Snitzel gelding Petrol Power as the main danger, all three runs this preparation have been full of merit. Was keen on Ideal Image last week over 1400m but she was scratched, not sure where she is at fitness wise but has undeniable quality.
1. MAD BRAD - 2. PETROL POWER - 10. IDEAL IMAGE
SUGGESTED BET - 1. MAD BRAD $30 x $30
I have a very high opinion of Hot Goods and I think he can over come all the hurdles and win this race. His debut effort down the Pinjarra straight was enormous yet effortless. Immediately tipped out for a spell his warm-up trial was blistering and I think he will be very, very hard to beat here. Drawn barrier 11 of 11 with a deal of speed drawn inside including Krypto Kid who will be settling the grass alight with Kate Fitzgerald likely to put the foot down and fly early and Castle Queen who is no slouch out of the gates. On paper the race maps to perfection for London Line, winner of the Supremacy Stakes as a 2 year old before a gutsy fourth to Lucky Street in the Perth Stakes but I'm putting Hot Goods on top because I do think he is an exciting proposition. Those two should kick away by 3 or 4 lengths and run a short but sweet quinella.
7. HOT GOODS - 1. LONDON LINE - 2. KRYPTO KID
SUGGESTED BET - 7. HOT GOODS $40 x $40
Agachar Cruz does look a sprinter on the rise. Beat subsequent Saturday winner Woolibar by over 3 lengths last start carrying 58.5kg. After the claim for Emma Stent carries only 57 here and does his best work when fresh. Given almost 7 weeks let-up I think he will fly here and I'm labelling him as the best bet of the day. Rule to Wyn is best ridden closer to the speed and Jordy Turner was able to do that last start and get the chocolates. Drops a half kilo on that victory but meets rival Chasing Chaoas 1.5kg worse. Nightingale Road needs room to gallop so I'm not convinced barrier 1 is a good draw for him, however I am convinced that W.Pike into the saddle is. Agachar to Cruz to victory for mine.
1. AGACHAR CRUZ - 2. RULE TO WYN - 5. NIGHTINGALE ROAD
SUGGESTED BET - 1. AGACHAR CRUZ $50 x $50

Even though Pernella Miss somewhat surprised first-up winning at 30-1 the fact she beat Red Ora by over a length makes it hard to go past her in the lucky last. Red Ora was backed off the charts last start and duly saluted for favourite punters. If she can repeat that effort she will be mighty hard to beat. I'd probably like to see her put a couple of good runs together before I open my wallet for her because the winners of the first 3 races that day came up along the rails so she was definitely at the right place at the right time. There isn't a whole lot of depth to this race and I'm putting Danish Delight in for second. Always a place chance. Eurosun is another ever consistent place getter who regularly manages to find one better than him. Quaddie play: 1,2,10 / 1,7 / 1,2,5,11 / 1,2,3,4,5,6,9 - $42 = 25%
3. PERNELLA MISS - 6. DANISH DELIGHT - 1. EUROSUN
race 1 - out of either the 2,3,5 or 7 - no bet
race 2 - Zarantz will be fave but i see 5 other legitimate winning chances - no bet
race 3 - Def no bet race - Cool Trade if I had to have a throw at the stumps
race 4 - another no bet race - I rate the 4 & 7 highly , Danablue could be a KO Chance
race 5 - wide open race - my gut tells me 1,6 or 7 . I'll have a crack at Moonsearch for Value
race 6 - 1 & 7 , 7 & 1 you choose , Having a crack at Culverin in the conditions
race 7 - open race will sit on my hands , if I see any money for hostwin pegusis I am on even at $6
race 8 - dart board job - so I will go for rattlehead cause its silks are the same colours ( and its record in the conditions aint shabby either ;) )
rattlehead is a widweek plodder with a terrible strike rate, the only horse you've tipped and I give it no hope lol had the excuse that it jumped from a wide gate last start but I cant see it figuring tomorrow but I do agree with your post, it does look a tough day with no standouts at first glance
race 6 I was inferring it was a flip of a coin job but I was having a go at something else at a 10/40 basis for value
& my hashtag tip was only cause the silks are the same colours as a dartboard

Race 3 Cool Trade
Race 4 Zuccheros
Race 6 Hot Goods
I think they represent the best of the day. Zuccheros is hard to catch though, but that win last start convinced me. The other two SHOULD win.....
My roughie for the day will be Race 2 Dragonlead. A couple of trials to tune up for this, is known as a stayer but fresh can get the job done I think. Did it last prep, albeit it was a mid weeker. Around $18 at the moment
Best of luck!
