I didn't think they were that bad! :-?
4 winners ($2.00, $4.60, $6.90 & $2.90 on the tote). Paris Romance ($2.80 fixed odds) & Roman Director ($10 fixed odds) were also paying better at the time of when I posted them.

Might be as simple as just trying a step up in distance in weak company...biggest good thing in WA I've seen in a while, $2 was massive.

    Great call
How it got to $2.90 on the totes... I'll be damned

They are geniuses in my book. Go to York and get 3.00 about a city class horse. Genius

Gee Bob has some nice horse flesh getting around, Can't see what prompted him to send that mare to Redoutes Choice!!??? @-)

Probably simply because he always wanted to send one to RC but could never had afforded it up until a few years ago...
He has had the Redoutes coming through for a few years now just that mare is quite uninspiring to be sending to a $220k stallion I doubt he paid that though.
But my point is it has been half that price for a few years now hasn't it? Got up to 275k? But been low 100s for a while now which is why he could probably afford it or at least his mares might be worth that lower priced upgrade.
Without looking it up that year he was $220k and peaked at $330k I think he is $132k or something?
With looking it up he is currently 110k, was 160k in 2010 and 137.5k in 2012.

So the horse in question is only 3 and so paid between137.5k and 160k with a discount no doubt given he does a bit of business with them...

Not sure what others he has that are older, but have to go back a bit to pay 220k.
$hit how time gets away from you :-SS :((

Makes you wonder what was said... Opens even money gets back into the red that morning then nearly doubles in price throughout the day before the jump.. Someone has either put someone else on a bum steer as to the horses chances or that old Sydney syndicate just simply got this one wrong :-))

Maybe people just try and read far too much into things....out smart themselves in the end.

Yes I was guilty of this but common sense prevailed with the price drift was worth the risk

Depends how much your risking/investing I suppose
But 9 times out of 10 when a horse drifts that much it runs accordingly..

Reminds me a of a horse in Sydney recently, trained by Hawkes' started $1.10 on debut (got beaten) next start opens up favourite (even money) and drifts out to something like $6 SP and ends up winning but nowhere near as easy as RQ did yesterday... So I guess it is something that happens on the regular

    Oh yes, the answer......

    Nothing sinister at all.
Just testing her at 1,300m, and splitting schedules with stable mate running Saturday.

And what not a single person has mentioned...... Still decent money when you add WESTSPEED.

    Defo not for sale.
Won't be selling any female from that family.
Not only has the mare thrown a few decent ones, but she's also BHB's sister remember.
Ie The family, not just the mare.
