Pretty laughable bagging Peters' for his riding directives, fair to say what he does works. Should he ride them like an IGA instructs em to, how many of those animals get cooked and you never hear from again? Unbelievable how well Miss Rose De Lago has gone on with it, considering how he was instructing the jocks to ride it when it was here.
Collectively the cerise and white seem to be pretty sound and resilient horses. I don't reckon they'd be that way if they weren't ridden as conservative as they are.

it's statistical fact that back is worst place to be most times.
if you ride back, you are nearly always dependent on what happens in front of you, notwithstanding his horses may just be 'better'.
back certainly never suited on their biggest day of the year.
delicacy(ran about 33.44 last 600, so it would have had to have wings) was given none as was real love.
then how many hard luck stories did they have?
i watched him run up arses at least 3 times.
I think his riding instructions are part of the non 2yo thing, getting the most out of the animal in the long run. No doubt not leading might be incur a penalty compared to leading, but my argument is that penaty is balanced by the extra soundness/starts he extracts from them.
I think the 'riding back' thing is a little exaggerated too, his only preference is they get cover. Delicacy and RL went right back only due to barriers. If Delicacy drew 3 it sits 4th. Neverland was close with cover, as was Ideal Image.

So last year the cerise and white won the following
Derby
Oaks
the Railway
2nd and 3rd in the KT
2nd in the Guineaus
won the Cox Stakes
won Perth Cup
Champ Fillies
I must have missed a few its racing as long the sun comes up there is bad luck in racing maybe after reading all this tripe Bob might give it away lol lol
my conclusion....no point!
he won LAST year's railway, and SHOULD HAVE WON THIS ONE, and would have, if the task set was not as big as it was.
your bad luck is nonsensical by the way, there is a difference between 'bad luck' and 'self inflicted stuff ups'.
not one shred of doubt it was the latter last saturday.

That would be against the rules of racing so I'm no doubt wrong but it makes no sense that such experienced people would get tactics so badly wrong in the state's richest race.
pike even goes at right angles straight to the fence almost, as do some others, and it is plainly ridiculous, before you even know what the pace is like.
either he is under orders or he does not do his homework, like that good looking guy from victoria does religiously, you know ,the one that you love so much!
he gets away with it sometimes, but just as often he doesn't, and he has the benefit of being on the best horse most times which would help.
wide is actually not such a big deal if you are not working too hard and have cover, and there is the added bonus of not running up arses as he tends to do very very often.
certainly not as bad as dropping right out regardless, even when the track is playing like it was on saturday,
whatever, a good rider would try to find a spot before settling, not just automatically drop to rear.
wide gates most times are simply conduits for better prices, unless it is in wa where the reactions are automatic.
it's probably safe most times to omit the horse as a winning chance.......not because the horse was not good enough, but because the rider decides to set an impossible task without testing the waters first.
:)
that's because i don't show unrequited love to any of them.
mr pike's strike rate is far higher with peters than it is without peters.
without peters it is no better than many others.
and i have told you many many times before, strike rate is a rubbish metric anyway.
you can't feed YOUR kids off pike's strike rate!
pike may well be the best over there, but that does not mean too much.
trainers make jockeys, not vice versa, and in the case of pike you can say owners make him.
remember mick clarke,...he was just so so as a rider, but then he won a race for colin hayes, and the rest is history.
that is oft repeated all over, inclusive of w pike.

nearly everybody loses, so it's a fair guess you do too....although i am VERY confident it's not a guess with you.
i reckon the chance that you win is buckley's and none.
and yes i did once have a commodore 64, but dunno why that is worth a LOL!
in fact i am still trying to figure what's worth so many LOL's in your posts.
do you love LOL's as much as mr pike maybe?
and dungy.....it's ok, i know i am smarter than you, thanks though for calling me a genius, even if it was meant in a derogatory way.
but there is not a jockey riding that wins more often coming from behind than does from up close.
jockey analysis is just as important as analysis of the horse he/she is sitting on.
after all there are 2 living things out there for every tab number in every race....horse AND rider, and only one of them usually is in charge, and makes the decisions.
most people tend to not place the same importance on the rider as they do the horse....and they should.
Grown men do not 'lol'
especially those that are formed from sound logic and unbiased data analysis, rather than unrequited love, and it must be unrequited love, for you to keep going after that hiding you copped last saturday!
i am really interested dungy......has jess ever told you that w pike belongs to her and to keep your beady eyes off?
