Watched the replay...unless there was an injury or issue not obvious to the eye, Calabria Joe is a very overrated animal.

Power Packed would be very nice for the quaddie. Cant see it though

it seems captain bonehead was the most popular result in the running double, not good for the quaddie as everyone would just about still be alive
  • Stormy grace is juicy overs!

That will do me. Lucy gives up the run available along the cutaway and gets done by one on the inside. Was she not watching the first race?

Had 11 horses running for me in the last leg and still couldn't find the fkn winner!! Over it

Look I know the fav probably had its chance but why would you give up the cutaway when it appears to be equal at the very least-if not superior- ground? Coodawa Rose took the run that Lucy forfeited and it's nearly stolen the race.

I hear you. I'm gonna do some gardening this weekend or something. I've had enough of trotters galloping and **** rides to last me a while at least.

With the sales coming up im interested to see where the winners are coming from. The sales or home breds. Of todays results 3 came from the sale, 5 bred from home. One of the sale graduates sold thru the ring for $400.... Will keep an eye out for this across all the results in the coming weeks.

As for Wednesday 3 were sold at the sale, 1 was passed in with the balance of winners bred to race.

Bred to race will always win that because there's more of them.

So with this new class system the horses that ran in the class 5
Say like race 7 the winner had won 2 races before yesterday , so it was a class 2 ? Now it goes to a class 3 ?

Yes, it can now race in a class 3. If it is given 3 points for yesterday's win, it will go to a 64 rating, thus carrying 58kg. In a C3 56+ race.

@therealkramer you should be a jockey manager, with summaries and analysis of races like that   ;)

I just noticed that Sir Vatican met Heart Starter 3kgs better for a 4 length defeat last start where it had the services of a 3kg apprentice. Lucy Warwick rode it last Friday and at level weights was beaten 2.25len. I'm not a big believer in weights in sprint races, particularly for back markers but the difference in margins can't be explained away by huge weight differentials regardless because they met at level weights(57kgs apiece). I don't think Sir Vatican suddenly found almost 2 lengths either. However, ridden the same way as Sir Vatican I still think Heart Starter could have won that race.
