    That's funny Offthebit.
Ryan Warwick now in best 6 drivers in WA. Check.

Sorry riders but I have him now just inside the top 99.

To be fair he did have the stablemate running for him and a few other drivers put in shockers.

Logical result in the 8th, now I can go to bed. Will leave though with the idea you would be mad not to take on Driven at that price, he may well win but is silly odds for a horse who doesnt do it that often. Like A bit ruthless for Aldo, he's been getting his hear broken off back marks in the stand. Tonight he is with them and maybe he can get up outside driven cheaply and worry him out of it.

Ryan carves up our ideal act. Normality has been resumed. :D

Suvaljko anticipated the start with Rycroft perfectly. Never really going to lose. $1.80 with hindsight wasn't a bad price.

Richie Bell called our regal ideal, our ideal act the whole race.

Good one Ritchie, especially after making a big deal on radio this morning, pointing out how the galloping commentator didn't pronounce one correctly.

In fairness to Richie they are similar names and there is a fair bit of sameness about the bond horses.

Rycroft was realistically the best of the Reeds tonight. Change Stride was going to be a problem for Liberty Belle and he was but LBM went poorly, not so much in not winning but she packed it in after a tough run, and Foxy had to contend with Sheer RocknRoll...and didn't quite. The placement of Sheer Rocknroll by Ross Olivieri has been superb...a bit like the old days working very systematically through the classes culminating in tonight's M0 win tallying up about $70k in the process ...after already having about 90k in the bank from its juvenile days. He has utilised the handicapping "system", a generous description, superbly and the horse has raced very well....staggered across the line tonight but was tough from the breeze ....they don't win from there too often these days.

In fairness to Liberty she went hard out of the gate and then very hard mid race in the breeze in a 1.53.8 race. You couldn't have expected any horse to still be in the finish under those circumstances.

I don't follow or punt the trots but I enjoy reading this thread late on a Friday after looking up the results. Some nice priced winners, tonight no exception.

No, I agree, she could not be expected to be in the finish but the last 200m was a bit of a worry. K.Harper great drive in the last....decided to have a crack for the lead and make it hard for the fav and it worked...just. Was only at that price as it broke from the mobile last start and was ODM but previous form had it right in this race. Thought Mon Lillies raced very well.

I'm with you bomber. Love listening to these chaps and there banter and enthusiasm for the trots.
I go to glousester park for the inters and the pacing cup. And then every Collie trots on a Sunday in March. That's about me with the red hots. But I do love reading this Friday night thread every week.

Keep up the good work lads.

Also goes well with my red wines :D

I'm already at the bottom of a bottle of red but after the punt tonight I'm seriously considering cracking another bottle to drown the sorrows ~X(

If you decide to crack another. Turn over to Fox 504 and watch a cracker of a game WA vs VIC in the era of just before the Eagles. When footy WAS footy.

Both teams were full of legends and there was 41 goals kicked, that was an epic game!!

Just watched the race again, SJS set LBM a pretty impossible task.... try to cross,  try to hold out Runoneover and then try and pressurise at the bell....changing my mind on the run, it looks an impossible drive in hindsight...stable rivalries are a good thing but that was a bit kamikaze.

The WA vs Vic 86 SOO was a classic Jum but i wish they would show the 83 & 84 WA vs Vic SOO games as well which were equally as good. They were the days of real footy and to have that Tuesday off school every year to watch top class footy it just couldnt get any better.

One more for the night for me and it's a bit of a hail mary but working on the theory the race will be run upside down I think Simply Susational can run into it from the back and is worth a play at the odds.

    Great work Gil.

Racecourse rumour has it that there was a very heated argument between Clint and Senior after the FFA on Friday night. I thought that Clint's drive, although beaten, was a gem but apparently he did not follow the team game plan.

Allegedly Clint has parted company with the camp but they may well kiss and make up.
