After a very good result last Friday I found doing the form for this meeting to be a massive struggle, hopefully get enough right to put the head in front. Will be going a higher spend on the EW bets as I just haven't been able to slim the novelties down enough for my liking.

R1: No12 Veiled Secret.
Bet: No12 Veiled Secret EW. FF: 7,12/7,9,12/7,9,12/5,6,8,11. 100% costs $16 then rotate the 7,9,12 through.
EQ: 7,9,12.
Thought Princess Major might have the speed to get across them early which would give her a big chance. The 12 looks an excellent draw for Veiled Secret who is getting progressively better, I thought she might be able to get in front of the fav early. You have to respect Rosie but she has been up a while now and again has no favours from the draw.

R2: No8 Forever Remembered.
Bet: No8 Forever Remembered EW. FF: 8,9/6,7,8,9/6,7,8,9/1,3,6,7,8,9,10,12. 100% costs $60.
EQ: 6,7,8,9.
A bit of speed early and the theory that she should be able to get a trail up off something has me thinking Forever Remembered can go back to back. Four Hear Beats and Sea Me Smile likely to show early speed along with possibly Sea Cider should see it quick enough early, expect My Platinum Belle to get the top eventually. She’ll run well. 1 of the 7 or 9 are likely to follow her across and breeze so I figure the other one leads up the 3 deep line with FR on its back and she swoops them again.

R3: No1 Machrie.
Bet: EW No1 Machrie. Tri:1,9/1,5,8,9/1,4,5,8,9,10. 100% costs $30.
EQ: 1,5,8,9.
Not sure if Machrie leads or gets crossed but off its first up run I expect it to give this a good shake regardless. Celestial Ruler the likely challenger for the lead along with possibly Bettor Boa. Originally didn't have bettor Boa in calculations at all but the more I look at it the more i'm thinking it may be on top at some stage with the stable connection to the 1. Expect Billy Mach to punch the breeze again and is a class drop but needs to improve. Khun Ratha has the best form for the race but that has been off good trips and we have seen him fail time and time again regardless of the grade if he hasn’t had the trip to suit. I’m going to give him one last go. If Sight Seeing Anvil can bring its form of 4 and 5 runs ago it is right in it.

R4: No2 Say It Now.
Bet: Small play the Tri:2,9/1,2,3,6,9/1,2,3,4,6,9. 100% is $40.
EQ: 1,2,3,6,9.
There are some tough races tonight, this and the one prior certainly fit that. I’ve gone Say It Now purely for the driver change and thinking he should be somewhere in the firing line throughout. Thought Atlastalone showed a tiny return to form Tues night, that’s enough for me to throw him in. Other EQ inclusions are chances with the right trips.

R5: No1 Dana Duke.
Bet: No1 Dana Duke EW. FF: 1/10/2,3,7,8,11,12/2,3,7,8,11,12. 100% costs $30 for a gold coin.
QD: 1,5,7,8,10,11,12.
I think tonight might be the night they keep Therugo out, Ideal Justice kicks up under him and Dana Duke either sits or just does enough to kick up under both of them. DD is no world beater but is a big strong animal, I like the addition of the hood and this will be up tempo which even though he is going to be right up on it and possibly working I think it will suit. Gone extremely wide in the quad as if they go mad early which could be on anything can happen.

R6: No4 King Lebron.
Bet: No4 King Lebron EW. FF:1,4/1,4/2,3,8,10/2,3,8,10. $24. Then rotate the 1,4 through.
QD: 1,4.
Ima Rocknroll Legend has repeatedly shown a really sharp sprint along with a propensity to not want to do it for very long. I really feel like it can only win if it hands up to something. With that in mind I thought the stable mate King Lebron might be driven aggressively early to take it up and be hard to beat. It could work out to be a pretty similar scenario to last time around for Ideal Tyson, if that is the case I again struggle to see how he can overcome it.

R7: No2 Mach Time.
Bet: No11 El Hombre EW.
QD: 2,10,11,12.
Scratching has changed this completely for me. Thought Voak was too kind to Mach Time on Vultin Tin last week and I don't see it happening again, I think he will be pouring the pressure on. This opens it up for Sprinter and El Hombre to finish over them, El Hombre will be the value so going that way.

R8: No1 Eliseos Falcon.
No Bet.
QD: 1 for 50% spend, 2,5,7,8,10 for the other 50%.
I think Donald Harper might be able to get Eliseos Falcon going. It has the speed to lead here, I don’t particularly like the leaders in this grade over this trip but I think he can get it done. Danger is that the horse can pull and A Bit Ruthless can annoy leaders hence the 2,5,7,8,10 for back up.

R9: No11 Our Magical Miracle.
No Bet.
Trial was good for Our Magical Miracle. I can’t see a decent bet as with the dolly’s going on I’m not sure if Bad Round wants the lead or hands up which makes the running too hard to work out. Hopefully Borntobeanartist charges across to the top so JayJay can do some cheering.

R10: No1 The Royal Lady.
Bet: Win No1 The Royal Lady if I’m up a long long way.
If she can run somewhere near 2 minutes and run home somewhere near 29 I don’t see how they can beat the Royal lady. It is a field with 7 wins from 178 starts between them so it may pay to tread carefully!

Good luck all.

Tough meeting...think might see some improvement from a reasonable draw and drop in class to the one paced grinder Billy Mack in race 3. Same race Khun Ratha is going well. That's a tricky race too though.

Race 5. Ideal Justice good run last week. Classy horse Nathan's Courage but out at 7 but with Thereugo inside him makes it interesting. If they go helter skelter early Ideal Justice maybe smoking the pipe. Also at around 20/1 nicely drawn in the two The Storm Chief smothered up with sparks a flying up front could be a silly knockout chance.

Race 6. My old mate Rabchenko drawn directly behind the odds on favourite. Around $4 a place...tempting. Thought Frostyflyer and King Lebron both nice runs last week too.

Typical end of season winter meeting..Race1 All Over Tan should be better than $4.80 and 1.85 and e/w if it gets out a bit, Race 2 Four Heartbeats e/w at 6.50 and 2.10, Race 3 Billy Mack very short at 4.50 and 1.65 and Race 4 I wrote a big NO Bet down but the pole horse Sir Nicholas is at least a last start winner, up in class and at $18.00 and 3.75 and Race 5 Johnny Disco at $17.00 and $3.50 but he is hard to catch, draw not too bad as he goes better sat up I reckon,. Race 6 Ima Rocknroll Legend at $1.35, no thanks. Race 7 Mach Time at $5.50 and $2.00 with Natural disaster scratched, it will tighten right up. Race 8...NO...race 9 Our Magical Miracle at $1.55....looks the winner but not convinced and if still awake, would I take the $3.00 The Royal Lady in the last. Nope.
A real hit and miss program and treading carefully but the weather is that shite that having a few each ways by the fire beats the hell out of going camping.

I agree - ive learnt the hard way as well - but you were  keen on the 2 from  9 - chuck in the field - trifecta 2.6k

Allways easy in hindsight i know - but if im  playing say 1 and 10 to run 2nd and 3rd both ways - i allways put the field in  for 1st - even  if their 100-1 - because one night they will knock you out

No stinker there @Gilgalmesh...you threw out Say It Now & El Hombre both about 14/1. If could do that every week I'd be more than happy!

Great drive Morgan Woodley to slot Change Of Address behind the leader from the three gate. Came within a whisker of winning at a cool 200/1. Can't recall any horse winning at GP at 200/1 that was as close as it gets. Stuart McDonald clever drive on the winner too.

Dana Duke only had to sit on Thereugo and at worst runs 2nd or 3rd.

Watching Dana Duke's head  and Kyle's helmet having close encounters took my eye .....terrific drive from Aldo (thank you!!!) to get Johnny home ...sat off and arrived on time. Race panned out as I thought but the speed battle up front played into Johnny's hands, that is definitely his best racing pattern.

Aiden De Campo patient drive on Khun Ratha outstanding. He and Kyle Harper who ran the quinella on roughie Celestial Ruler two of the better up and coming drivers going around. De Campo has improved out of sight. His judgment spot on.

Had King Lebron and Ideal Justice in the black book - haven't seen any replays but on face value their runs were ordinary. Ideal Justice was in a striking position early but never gave a yelp.

Inquiry adjourned into this mind boggling drive. Trainer Nathan Turvey is a very conservative driver and it his hard to imagine that he would have instructed his driver to hold out a horse with an established pattern of leading and running.

    Beaten 47.2m,  impossible to defend.

Another handicap "special" at Kellerberrin today in the R3 and better race...Mosquito Buzzin at  $10.80 after $18 available early on fixed after slipping around them from last to breeze and hold on. An M1 horse with $133k in the bank taking on some genuine R class horses.

Giddyup pulled a rabbit out of the hat today at Kellerberrin with Times of Glory rated at $2.50 winning at $41.

Reading from the same hymn book as West Ratings who had it at $4.00. However, their usual clanger was lurking.....Hilo Angus whose form was a good as anything in the race, and who had gate 1, was rated at $33.00 and went around at $4.50.

I actually had a nice win on that - they opened it at $13 Tab .COM - so i had $50 on it - and it blew out on both TAB.Com and OzBet - so put  another $10  on it at $16 on OzBet - basically for the reasons you mentioned - it was well graded - plus i looked up the stewards report with Bhagwan - its last run it pulled up with a respiratory problem - and i noted that it got beaten 60 metres at a Byford trial

However i did plenty of damage the last 2 races at Bunbury last night - Anvil Rollover - they opened it at $2.20  fixed - i just thought it would lead and win . On Tab.com it was $2.20 into $1.35 fixed - i reckon there was 20 to 30k put on that horse .

And in the last War Club opened on TAB.Com it at $2.25 - i rated it a $1.10 chance and backed it accordingly - unfortunately Woodley drove it  like a $1.10 chance - 2100 metre race - 1st qtr 29.3 2nd qtr 28.9 ( if you dont mind please ) and then staggered home into 2nd place coming home in 61.2 - i note the stewards queried his driving tactics . It was $2.25 into $1.70  fixed and started at $1.20 on the Tote
