Good meeting coming up at Kellerberin.

Race 5 is interesting.. a race for the quintessential battlers..an indication My Names Bob has opened favourite at $2.80 :-O the trainer and driver are in tip top form but think even they may have the job ahead of them to get this bloke over the line in first place. One of the tougher races of 2017. Anything could win. Not writing off Bob but will pass on backing him as favourite.

Now there is a horse in the race have seen often..this seven year old mare really struggles...a bit of a guide..45 starts for just one win and one placing..previous five starts has jumped on tote at $189.70 , $113.50 , $155.20 , $131.40 and $97.40...her name Mill Pond..ya gotta feel for her...however!! the run at Pinjarra two starts ago when fifth behind Honey and Lime in a much better field was a very good effort...did some work in the run too. Was odds on to drop right out but actually stuck on. Today drawn the seven ( inside of the backline ) stunned am saying this but on the effort at Pinjarra am going to have a few coins on eachway. That will be twice have backed her - first and last time. Miracles do happen.

To recoup that loss...think the all up win of ex Kiwi horses Robert The Bruce and Neighlor can get over the line. If they get up might get around anywhere from $2.20 to $2.80 on the multi. Not much luck lately for Robert The Bruce, will run short enough, but looks a bit too classy for them..hopefully Neighlor can make it two in a row with another pillar to post victory.

Neighlor won't find it as easy this week though...Bountiful Reactor ( By NZ champ Auckland Reactor ) and Friday night GP winner Bethany Aitch both big dangers. If Neighlor leads the one horse Better Watch Me has definite place prospects too. Good race the last one of the highlights of the day. Tactics crucial.

Back on home soil for the first time in 5 weeks, looking to cover some of the trip/

I thought with SS on Famous Caribbean it would step better and possibly give some cheek. Horse can't quicken but i'm happy to have something on at the 50/1 stacked the place.

Haven't seen a race yet...but just noticed on the Tabtouch page..for the tips in race 5. On top selection race 5 # 7. Mill Pond. He must be sillier than me! $19 on fixed odds. $31 on Bet365. Wonder who that tipster is ? Not sure who is on course commentator today ?

The run after Pinjarra ran last at Kellerberrin beaten 45 metres at $97.40. Gawd help us.

Shannon Suvaljko first five races. Three winners and a second. $4 ,$5.10 and $6.50.

Trifecta with him winning and Mill Pond third nearly 3.3k
    :-O

Mitchell Miller and Suvaljko dominated Friday night at GP and so far again today.

Mitchell Miller on the back of $51 and $16 double Friday night continues the form on roughies with a $31 winner Soho Cash. Was a good third to Affluent Bell last Sunday. Remarkable price especially drawing directly behind the favourite.

Seeknfind from the one only $2.80 yet Soho Cash on his hammer $31. Gees favourites start short now. About $8 would have been best bookmakers price Soho Cash twenty years ago. Seeknfind they would have been begging you to take $5.

Good work Matt...been out today and they dont have Sky2 and haven't seen or even heard a race until right now. Only been able to sneak results so far but now listening to Robert The Bruce.

Thought perhaps Brad or yourself. If had been able to listen in would have known either voice straight away. Hopefully can watch the replays tonight especially Mill Ponds race. You obviously saw the Pinjarra run too..left her out of the first four that day and thought well she's not a problem will drop out and be beaten 100 metres...she continued to fight on and only just missed fourth. Didn't credit however anybody would have noticed.

Good call on Robert The Bruce. A few heart palpitations for me but the $1.30 shots can do that. Alls well that ends well especially if Neighlor can do the same.

Clearly 4th the likely result for my place bet.

Unlucky Gilgamesh $61 and $12 was the SP...gave a ton of cheek at the price...Suvalkjo driving..he's not bad that bloke...4 winners a second and a $61 fourth.

Quaddie today...Turvey drove two...Suvaljko one...Mitch Miller the other one. Possibly three of the most in form drivers going around.

Quaddie $4400 :-O with a $1700 jackpot component as well. When considering Robert The Bruce was just a $1.36 that's one hell of a dividend.

Not many buns Riders at $1.70 but just happy he is doing things right....full credit to the trainer and driver for sorting him out, they are doing a great job....it will get tougher than Kellerberrin but he is now a much happier horse.

Even though ran 4th it was really a huge price $61 and $12 for a place that Suvaljko drive Famous Carribean...especially from barrier one in the standing start and him driving..just needed one slip up from one of the other three and he runs a drum.

Some bolters with a rough chance can get out to amazing fixed odds prices these days which is good to see.

Hurricane Zuki the other night...she's very one paced and extremely limited...but just eight runners in a particularly weak field with the nice inside row back draw the $15 a place fixed odds was a good competive price.

    Well done to Jay Jay

Ive got to say i enjoy Kellerberrin  meetings on a Sunday -( snagged a bit of the tri in Soho Cash race ) i see theres quite a few meetings their in Nov as well- wouldnt mind 20 Sun meetings at Kellerberrin per year .

Where as Pinjarra - i couldnt careless if they shut that track Tommorrow - talk about boring - the TV viewer seems to be a million miles from the action as well - GP on a Tuesday night are in the same boat - pretty boring

I know you have got to factor in the cost of fuel for the participants - but Mon and Tuesday  id like to see big changes as to where meetings are held  - freshen it up for goodness sakes

The reality is that Pinjarra has the best turnover of any provincial track in WA.

Probably helped by the Monday afternoon time slot but it out performs GP meetings held at the same time.

Cheers Marko, he is paying his way, no champ but could end up being a good honest horse. Got another Bettors Delight filly in work with Matt, out of an In The Pocket mare In Bloom (1.57.1) who was one of only 3 foals left by the great dual Hunter Cup winner Blossom Lady (1.56.0) who was the dam of Mister DG....bit of a dual purpose job to race for a while and then breed. Has already won and been placed, so hopeful that she continues on.

Mate it has got everything to do with time slot

Look at Kalg - race 2 Frid night ( must have been on Sky 1 ) - youve got horses like Reginald Trevor going around

    Trifecta pool $14700  1st 4 Pool $11200

    They are seriously good numbers

Oh come on now Marko.....surely you aren't suggesting statistics lie or are twisted to conveniently overlay a predetermined argument ????.....surely not.

90% of punters ( im not one of them) are interested in whats going to win the next race - thats it -  couldnt give a hoot where it was held

Many years ago i was in an inner city Sydney TAB Agency ( Double Bay in the arcade ) and 100% the truth no bulldust - in walked that famous American singer ( if you can call him a feucken singer  - more like a con artist ) Tiny Tim . I thought to myself thats bloody  Tiny Tim !! - long hair - Orange pants - blue coat an a scarfy thing around his neck

And he was like any other punter - he had that glazed look in his eye - he went straight to the form guides pinned on the wall - got his money on - and then his eyes were fixed on the monitor

I did read that among his many addictions - that backing race horses ( and slow ones in his case ) was one of them

Kalgoorlie Race 2 was delayed 14 minutes hence the increase in turnover as is usually the case when a race is delayed significantly.

Any thoughts why Pinjarra exceeds GP like for like?

In no other state does a provincial track exceed the metro venue in similar circumstances.

Smaller track .... no passing lane....too many horses held up by comparison with Pinjarra ......turns the mid week race punters away.

Agree with that. Pinjarra seems like a fairer track, horses get their chance.

All valid points but surprisingly the best turnover provincial track in Victoria is Ballarat the only track without a sprint lane.  Anomalies everywhere.

Ballarat could also be costing itself turnover without a passing lane. There are none so blind than those who will not see.

There is nothing so indicative of the state of the mindset at GP re passing lanes than the ludicrous non use of the Bunbury lane during the Inters. Flat earth society stuff.

Sprint lanes should be made extinct

Youve got to call it as you see it - and  on the whole im against them - Johny Tapp who trains a handy team of pacers in Sydney - use to call them  the cheats  lane

The last race i watched in NZ - was about 4 years - ago - a field of 5 - with 3 equal 7/4 favourites ( Dexter Dunn was driving one of them ) - sprint lane in operation - one fav handed up to one of the other faves - who in turn handed up to the other equal fave - i thought what a load of uncompetitive junk

2 of the horses you quoted - Dreadlocks and Skippy -they were 6 back on the pegs - and running line respectively - and they both went for miracle runs - and were never  winning prospects in the run - how you could blame the lack of a sprint lane -  totally irrelevant in that situation

As for Bunbury - the 1st night of the inters - the whole programme was the most exciting pacing ive seen in yonks -horses were coming from anywhere . Shane Graham had a duel for the lead with one bloke - if there had been a sprint lane - that wouldnt have occurred - you would have got somehting dull instead

Since the sprint lane went in at Bunbury - its become like a bike velodrome - a real pegs track - unless youve got 40 metres on the field in class

Noticed at huge odds Dreadlock Rockstar hitting the line and searching for a run under a tight hold...being so far back in the run was never going to figure...but think you are right onto a horse to follow Markovina.
