Galactic Star once again draws poorly in the last Heat...hopefully he has banked enough points now to qualify for next weekends Inters Final.

    Draws mean nothing VK ....the new handicapping system in WA is predicated on that truism  8-}

Tiger Tara a bit flat tonight at the $1.25 - got there just.
    Spankem - all class.
Cruz Bromac - $1.10 did the job.

Some of the place getters were excellent.
Our Pats Delight - a big hope to give Gavin Lang his first interdomion. Won three trotting ones but no pacer's.
    San Carlo - tougher effort.
Our Uncle Sam - great run, was powering home along the pegs.
Galactic Star - he was very good again - an in form horse.

Yes he can! Gate three for Our Pats Delight. In it to win it.
    Galactic Star barrier one <:-P

Our uncle sam 3 back the pegs looks great value at $13.50 for a place. Very underestimated horse

All the faves drew reasonably well. Big winners in the draw Galactic Star & Our Pats Delight.
Tiger Tara got the short back and sides.

Things could not have gone better for Galactic Star - set himself up on opening night, then two good runs from bad draws and now draws the bullet for the final.

The eastern states media contingent would love to see him win especially after WA having three series in a row :-j

Time to stand and deliver...can't really seperate these four Galactic Star, Our Pats Delight, Spankem, Cruz Bromac.
    To put them in order...
    1. Our Pats Delight
    2. Spankem
    3. Galactic Star
    4. Cruz Bromac

Should be a bottler of a race - best drive and luck in running wins.

Trotters final - going for the underdog Speeding Spur but will find Tornado Valley a tough nut to crack.

Our uncle sam out to $21 a place on tabtouch.
Two more strides and he beats tiger tara last sat night, surely thats good enough form to give him a place chance. He stays all day and should be suited by a hot tempo. He's no champion but plenty of longshots have run into a place in an inters final.

Had Tiger Tara anchored to win in that trifecta with what thought the only three other possible place chances, Can't Refuse, Our Uncle Sam and San Carlo....Tiger Tara looked all over a winner, Can't Refuse gave up, San Carlo stuck on well and then Sam finally got through underneath Can't Refuse and exploded home.
Was ready to throw the toys out of the cot because he was gaining on Tiger Tara that fast.

That trifecta paid surprisingly well because most had Can't Refuse 2nd or 3rd I think.

@Offthebit...reckon there might be two at big value odds in the Interdomion Consolation race...reckon they were ok behind Cruz Bromac in the final heat the other night...#3. Hickstead currently $26 and $4.80 on Tabtouch and #9. Village Witch currently $10 on Bet365.
Will be surprised if at least one of them isn't fighting out the finish.

The trotters free for all consolation don't mind one at about $16, he ran into a dead end last week when finishing off well.
Unfortunately barrier one not a great help because lacks gate speed. But he does have a very appropriate name for this time of the season - #1. Father Christmas.

I'm with you on village witch. She is flying and should like the weaker field.

I'm using the jay jay theory with the trotters......watch but no bet!!!

John Justice wanted to take the trail on Cruz Bromac but he got stuck with the Kima Freming horse attacking him, they went quite hard and you don't reckon he wasn't annoyed!

That was the end of Hickstead but noticed up the straight he was battling away quite well. Village Witch was a case of last one standing to grab third but finished off very well just the same.

I'd have Hickstead about 10/1 and Village Witch 6/1...very tight and high % I bet haha.

Cruz Bromac for me, best horse in the race in my opinion and price is very backable. Trotters? No thanks.....take one look at Arnold at Albion Park last Saturday and you will be cured from backing them for life.

Significant that Nat had the choice of drives and went for Cruz even though he has a back line draw. Speaks volumes of her opinion of the horse. She rarely makes mistakes in big races too. Got a feeling that purdon will push forward and put some early tempo on. That should suit Cruz as he is a great stayer. I'm with you jay jay.....he is the horse they all have to beat.

I'm going to do that sometimes silly and sometimes good bet of anchoring a few bolters to run third or fourth for the first four.

Did ok with long shot Vulcan Tin last year, bless him. There was a Lombo horse a few years ago that managed to jag it with and Our Blackbird would have run third or fourth at 66/1( most likely 4th) but Stu McDonald came off the pegs and Avonova darted through taking his run to nab him for fourth. Was fair dinkum fuming haha.

So this year hoping one of these can miracously run third or fourth to the main chances, am going for 66/1 outsiders #4. Mach Doro, #8. Our Uncle Sam and #10. Wrappers Delight...to say that one of them needs a bit of luck to run third or fourth is an understatement!

Was that Lombo Navigator you were trying to remember Riders?
He ran a nice 3rd to the superstar Quinny & MMM in the 2102 Inters Final at GP!

    Yes he's the one VK.
Think the three mentioned above are the only ones who could sneak 3rd or 4th if everything went there way. Uncle Sam is the best of the three of them. Three back pegs yes a possibility but further back than that he'll be battling. Can't have Maximan or Can't Refuse for 3rd or 4th. Handy horses but out of their depth here.

Sam, Mach Doro and Wrappers Delight will probably look for the pegs and hope they go nuts up front.

With the benefit of hindsight the $9 that was available on Tabtouch for Cruz Bromac to win all three heats and the final was the way to go, especially with the way they seperate the major players in the heats.

Having him running at $9 definetly would put the betting % in your favour and enable a saver or two.

Galactic Star is $6 with Tabtouch to win the final.
For which state to supply the final winner Tabtouch are betting WA - $6.50.
    Exactly the same bet.

Riders;gee the first  300m will be interesting  read galatic star has great record leading..only blu with who leads, ...       Purdon will try to control the race from the death and keep tiger tara working   if he goes forward then probably hand the breeze to cruz bromac at some stage in last  2 laps if tiger tara has to be restrained early...galatic star might be better off to handup to im  pats delight. a horse who is very tough and let purdon work on him..and ryan to try and get him vie the sprintlane if his good enough..think  im pats delight has all the bases covered from the draw..Hope theiceman doesn't melt in his bogey race.. 1.im pats delight.2 galatic star 3.cruz bromac.

Sit behind a reasonably good leader and providing that horse takes you to the sprint lane..you have had what's called every possible chance, no matter how hard or slow they go...as long as their not already swooping before the sprint lane comes up.

See that the market is now 66/1 bar 6.
No surprise to see. Market dominated by three Kiwis, a Sandgroper, a New South Welshman, and a Melbournian.

Will be a terrific story no matter who wins it from those six. Imagine if the Kiwis ran the trifecta! Not beyond the realms of possibility...Spankem, Pat, Cruz.

Cruz Bromac blimey he's a better horse now. He could do so much wrong... had him anchored in trifectas was at Menangle, might have been a day meeting, anyway he galloped wildly before the start...tickets confetti.

Have seen him pull hard in races too and knock up...but now he's a pacing machine.

Dan Mielecki will have a great race to call - with the Kiwi's and Aussies and the added intrigue of Gavin Lang still awaiting his first interdominion. Mielecki is one of the best callers have heard in the big races.

Lang did say "look I've won three trotters Interdomions and their a lot harder to win''. Well said.

I have backed him Riders, so that's a cue for him to come out galloping or break into the first corner. I think (hope) he has all that behind him. Spankem's query for me is how seasoned he is at just 4 with not a lot of starts, how will he come through 4 runs in a fortnight and his no mans lland draw. But if Cruz is ever going to win an Inters, this is it and probably the last roll of the dice for his great sire Falcon Seelster......6 runners by Bettors Delight, 3 by the now defunct Mach Three, a Sportswriter, an Armbro Operative and a FalconSeelster make up the 12.

With some of the strange coincidence's occurring in barrier draws in Perth....I'm still saying the most suspicious is in the Melton trotters free for all race - Father Christmas drawing the coveted one gate!

    That's influence for you.

JJ I think I overheard Greg Hayes or one of the Sky crew mention that since the 3 x 3 Heats was brought back for the 2015 Inters Series in Perth that of the 36 Heats winners since then the colossal sire Bettors Delight had sired half of them...a truly incredible stat!

    Here's a question.
How many in the race ran in the previous Perth Interdom. Final ?
    Name them.
Also where were they placed in that final ?

Bettors Delight sired 5 of the 10 runners in the 2017 Inters Final Riders.

    1st- Lazarus
    2nd- Chicago Bull
    3rd- Tiger Tara
    5th- Galactic Star
    10th- Have Faith In Me

Spot on VK and Tiger Tara and Galactic Star return to the battle.
Was a great run last year Galactic Star to finish fifth. He ran on exceptionally well for a 100/1 chance. Much better horse now too.

Tiger Tara was very tired on the line and clung onto third a nose ahead of Vulcan Tin.
