    I think the only one that stuck up for Willy on here was Detto. But we all know his situation, in and out of treatment all the time.
    However you are correct Hendo double standards, particularly WA media.
    Enough to bring you to tears.

    Good point Hendo, but maybe its because if in a moment of unclear drug induced thinking he makes a mistake and brings down the field? I dunno, its just something i thought of but your comment does make sense.

    Stuck up for Willie was a bit strong. I just wanted to hose down the hysteria.
    Smoking a bit of Gods own creation isn’t a hanging offence but he has paid his penance.
    This is different in that it was a premeditated urine swap from what I can glean.
    The velcro release strap or whatever it was probably wasn’t the smartest piece of equipment to be wearing when you are trying to be deceptive.
    18 months does seem light on. Hope he can shake the need or stupidity to keep going down that road and get his life back on track.

    Saw the interview with Kennedy down at Larkhill with Julio Santerelli when he riding a few at trackwork and looking forward to what was in front of him in his comeback.
    Thought this is a good feel good story. Didn’t take long to undo all that.

    Also I saw an interview after he won on a Saturday at Ascot, I presume it was Burnya to Survive... Scott Embry said something like "I'm proud of you" at the end of the interview.

    I have no idea if they are close or if Embry was his manager or whatever, but I thought at the time that it was a big thing for a guy like him to say on live media. Really disappointing to see this transpire just a few weeks later. Ben has thrown it all back in his supporter's faces.

    not worth opening a new thread. but whats the go with alan kennedy? we all thought he threw it in and headed for some fifo type job.
    then saw him have a number of rides at the lark hill trials on the 8th, including 1 for grant w.
    then a blank book on mon. 14th...maybe he was valentining.

    Willie didn’t take a bag full of someone else’s pizz in an apparatus to drain into a jar for the purpose of substituting the sample.
    My understanding is that Willie put Gatorade or something like that in the jar cause he was worried about cannabis showing up.
    But Willie did make front, back, middle pages of every AFL state newspapers in Oz.
    But nothing on Ben Kennedy. Nobody knows who he is.
