Race 1: Bisley Workwear Maiden (1800m)
A field of stayers-in-the-making kicks us off. Flavoursome put in a massive effort to fly home for second at Bunbury last start over 1400m. While she steps up significantly in distance, her ratings suggest she has the class to handle this field. The danger is Saucisson, who maps perfectly from the inside draw. Jason Whiting will likely punch him up to lead or sit box-seat, which is the place to be today. Universal Impact is the one to watch if the pace is genuine, having fought out the finish at this track/distance recently.
Recommended Bet: Medium (1.5 Units) - Flavoursome ($3.40)
| Selection | Danger | Comment |
| Flavoursome | Saucisson | Big motor, should relish the 1800m. |
Market (105%)
Flavoursome: $3.20 | Saucisson: $4.50 | Universal Impact: $5.00 | Whiskers Harbour: $6.00 | Cedar Leaf: $8.50 | Others: $15+
Race 2: TabTouch Handicap (1400m)
This looks like a two-horse war between the lightly raced types. Two Time Charlie was very impressive winning at Bunbury, displaying a quick final 600m. From barrier 5, Brad Parnham should have him exactly where he wants him. Wonderfully Made is the class dropper, coming out of a Northam Maiden where she didn't quite quicken, but her trial win prior was sharp. She's the primary threat.
Recommended Bet: High (2 Units) - Two Time Charlie ($2.35)
| Selection | Danger | Comment |
| Two Time Charlie | Wonderfully Made | Progressive type with a lethal turn of foot. |
Market (105%)
Two Time Charlie: $2.10 | Wonderfully Made: $3.00 | Naughty Lord: $4.50 | Backchatting: $15.00 | Others: $26+
Race 3: Quayclean Handicap (1000m)
Girls Day Out stands out here as the clear ratings leader (100). She has a great record (1 win, 5 placings from 6 starts) and her recent trial was excellent. She maps to sit just off the speed and pounce. Don't Wink is the obvious danger; she won well at Pinjarra and has the tactical speed to utilize the inside rail. Mr Kissinger is the "Saver" bet—he dead-heated for a win recently and has enough speed to be in the finish.
Recommended Bet: Best Bet (3 Units) - Girls Day Out ($2.60)
| Selection | Danger | Comment |
| Girls Day Out | Don't Wink | The model of consistency in this grade. |
Market (105%)
Girls Day Out: $2.30 | Don't Wink: $3.20 | Great Promise: $7.00 | Mr Kissinger: $10.00 | Others: $20+
Race 4: Morley Growers Market Handicap (1400m)
Admire Astra looks exceptionally well-placed here. She won a 1400m maiden at Northam with authority and then held her own in Group 3 company. Dropping back to Class 1 is a massive class advantage. Slick comes off a maiden win and gets the legendary Shaun O’Donnell from the inside gate—expect them to try and lead all the way. Naughty Tortie is the value runner who will be peaking third-up.
Recommended Bet: High (2 Units) - Admire Astra ($2.60)
Bomb: Cable Rock ($15.00). Finished second recently in Class 3; dropping to Class 1 is a major help.
| Selection | Danger | Comment |
| Admire Astra | Slick | Massive class drop from G3 level. |
Market (105%)
Admire Astra: $2.40 | Slick: $3.80 | Naughty Tortie: $6.50 | Tora Bora: $10.00 | Cable Rock: $12.00 | Others: $20+

Race 5: MCA Polytrack Handicap (2200m)
Distance and weight are the keys here. Modelistic has been banging on the door with two consecutive second-place finishes. She is at a fitness peak and maps to get a soft run. Glanced is the main danger, having run on well for fifth at this track recently over 1800m. The 2200m should suit. Dandy Flirt is the interesting one; won a 2238m maiden by over 3 lengths and will be the one they have to catch.
Recommended Bet: Medium (1.5 Units) - Modelistic ($5.00)
Market (105%)
Modelistic: $4.50 | Glanced: $5.00 | Let Sparks Fly: $6.50 | Knockoneback: $8.00 | Dandy Flirt: $10.00 | Others: $15+
Race 6: A1 Engineering Handicap (1800m)
Kimberley Rose is the bet here. She was a narrow second in Class 5 company last start and gets Brad Parnham from gate 2. She should land in the first four and be too strong late. Our Nemesis is the class horse but has to carry 62.5kg (even after claiming claims). That is a mountain to carry over 1800m on this track. Planet Cash is the "Saver"—won well last start and remains competitive.
Recommended Bet: High (2 Units) - Kimberley Rose ($3.60)
Market (105%)
Kimberley Rose: $3.40 | Our Nemesis: $4.80 | Planet Cash: $5.50 | Black For Cash: $7.00 | Others: $12+
Race 7: Drummond Golf Handicap (1600m)
We close the day with a very open handicap. Golden Kathleen was eye-catching when storming home for second over 1500m here last start. If Natika Riordan can keep her within striking distance turning for home, her turn of foot should do the rest. My Harv is the leader and danger; if the rail is playing as expected, she will be incredibly difficult to run down. Rosie Can Run is the value at each-way odds.
Recommended Bet: Bet (1 Unit) - Golden Kathleen ($3.80)
Market (105%)
Golden Kathleen: $3.80 | My Harv: $5.50 | Rosie Can Run: $7.00 | Cheyne Bay: $8.50 | Rebelnado: $9.00 | Others: $15+
Summary of Best Bets
Race 4 e/w Slick was quite impressed with the Pinjarra maiden win although the second horse was beaten out of a place when an odds on favourite at Bunbury the other day. That’s a worry but was a bit of an x-factor win by Slick.
Race 5 backed two of them Glanced should be cherry ripe for this and Knockoneback - he’s a grinder hope for the best with him.
Race 6 on two of them again Planet Cash and Kimberley Rose they ran the quinella at Pinjarra and this doesn’t look any tougher.
And the bomb - love the AI bomb not sure what it means though - have gone e/w on the roughy in race 3 the Summer Dickson trained Miss Valmalenco.
If can’t get one winner there I’ll walk to China.
