    i dont think bicarb is banned by ASADA but in saying that i dont think the body reacts very well to it.

    I've seen it used plenty of times, was just curious to see if Rodent (being a vet who wrote a paper on the topic) had any interesting stories to tell

    i drink a teaspoon of it in water several times a week, and my performance is still not up to it!

    Nothing to tell. I just reviewed all the scientific papers on milkshakes that I could find.
    Had to laugh when they couldn't prove improved performance statistically. If a horse improved its mile time from 1min 40 sec (100 seconds) to 1 min 39seconds (99 seconds) it was deemed 1% improvement.
    Yeah right, 6 lengths is 1% improvement :lol:

    I thought I had better go down to the local feed shop to buy a couple of bags of Mouldy Corn just in case.
    However the feed store said there had been a sudden rush on it and they had sold out by yesterday afternoon!

    he's so good and experienced at tubing, that he couldnt possibly have put that much in its system?

    goodness....therefore he couldnt be found guilty?

    how bout this, sir, you had 12kg of cocaine strapped to your body, boarding a plane. As you are an experienced drug mule, we know you couldnt be that stupid....so we'll let you off!!!!

    Harness trainer Ross Olivieri had his appeal on a post race TCO2 dismissed today. Decision handed down immediately and 12 months disqualification starts today. Announced on Sky 2.

    May be time to start post race testing for TCO2 at gallops as well.

    a very loose analogy given there is no proof Mark Riley administered the drug whereas the drug mule by having the stuff taped to him is beyond proof

    I find it hard to believe that people on here are so quick to knock the decisions of those most suitably qualified to make them

    I thought the decicision was odd.
    My questions would be:
    Was there proof that the horse was fed mouldy corn?.

    Did the trainer know he had fed mouldy corn and if so why not remove the feed before the horse ate it?

    Did he only find out after the horse had eaten it, if so, how did he know it was mouldy if the horse had already eaten it?

    Why would he start the horse if he knew it had eaten mouldy corn?

    Is there proof that mouldy corn can raise the level of TCo2 to 39 especially as it was fed the night beore the race?

    Will horses eat mouldy corn? Mine wont eat mouldy hay!

    the stewards need to prove Riley was guilty - not Riley needing to prove his innocence

    he pleaded guilty to bringing the horse to the races with drugs in its system so they should just hit him with the max penalty for that

    I cant believe you are so quick to criticize Della -- surely they have to prove the drug mule taped the drugs to his own body
