West Coast to miss the 8 $2 .....Staggering.
They will win 3 of their last 9 games at best.

Best case scenario 9-10 wins.

    Collingwood to be the big improver. 2 seasons of crippling injuries which saw us miss the finals for the first time in over a decade last year will be a distant memory come finals time.
    Less than 9 weeks until round 1.

    Skids I'm a devoted Pie too but don't share your same confidence! Will be surprised if we make the 8. Round 1 against Brisbane might show early where we are at. Brisbane great value to make the 8.

    A bit of luck with injuries and some of the young guys picking it up a bit, I'm certain we can make the 8 this year.
    Surely Cloke will have a better year, Faz will be firing and our 2 young ruckmen will be better. I like the addition of Greenwood and Varcoe. Marley Williams will be way better with the assault charge behind him.
    I'm always optomistic mate :-bd

    Not being anti-pie, cos that is passè, they got buckleys of making the 8. Lolz at thinking Greenwood and Varcoe will fix that midfield

    Don't think there's too much wrong with a midfield that has; Swan, Pendles, Sidey, Adams, JT & don't be surprised to see Elliot, Faz & Greenwood rotating through the middle. ;;)

    Riders, I wish I shared your optimism about the Lions. As you would expect from an old fashioned stubborn old fart like me, they are still Fitzroy in my mind, always will be. I've followed the Roys all my life and Kevin Murray should have been Prime Minister!!!  But although they have a pretty good midfield, any defence that relies on Goose McGuire as its lynchpin defender is in strife, they haven't got a key forward to replace Jono and they paid overs for Beams in my view. And as for recruiting Robinson, who runs around like a hand grenade with the pin half pulled out, injuring more team mates than opposition players.....didn't they learn after the last drunken gambling dill they got from the Blues?

    I had them down to win 4 or 5 or their last 6 or 7 games, I remember looking at the fixtures weeks ago and saw the only game we wouldn't win towards the end of season is against hawthorn. We have a run home easier than any other team I think, lock in that top 8 finish @shovhog

    I think that the WCE will be top eight this year, well at least into Round 6. If they can't win all those games with the exception of the Derby, they are going nowhere near playing in September

    St Kilda yes

    West Bull probably

    Sydney NO

    Hawthorn NO

    Adelaide twice 50/50 and NO

    Gold Coast NO

    Collingwood NO

    Fremantle NO

    That's my opinion but I can't see any more then 3 wins there unless you have improved 4-5 goals

    Dont see how you rate us beating Adelaide a 50/50 and NO given we beat them late in the year away and we have a very good record against them? We also smashed GC away and yet to lose to them and Bulldogs a probably at home...really? I think we are a decent chance against Pies at Etihad too...

    I bet you $200 we win more than 3, five wins or more I win, 3 wins or less you win and 4 wins is a standoff?

    Deal me in ! I can't see you going forward next year. I'm a big fan of Adelaides list. We can have a side wager on who will finish higher out of you 2 as well if you want ?

    I like Adelaides list too but I rate both lists neck and neck at this point, Walsh has a very good footy brain so I am a bit cautious about betting against them, happy to bet $100 on either side making the 6, which is where both will be aiming to jump to this year...

    Hawthorn / Sydney / Fremantle / port Adelaide as certs to make it.

    Essendon / Nth Melbourne /Geelong / Adelaide / Gold Coast on the second line.

    Richmond / Collingwood / West Coast on the third line.

    Realistically don't think Collingwood & west coast can make it.

    Every season these kinds of ladder predictions make most people look stupid, you are probably going to join them...

    Doubt it very much! But west coast supporters who think they have a decent shot at finals football with a terrible midfield will probably look stupid.

    I don't dislike west coast by the way I just don't think there is enough talent through the midfield and I don't rate Adam Simpson 1 bit!

    Well we have a very good forward and back line so the midfield only needs to improve a little bit more to make the 8 and making the 8 and winning a premiership without a midfield is two different things...my record of winning football bets on here is unblemished so we will see whats what during the season...I'll be here...
