R1. Westspeed 3yo Plate - Scott Embry

London Line was simply sensational first-up behind highly talented PocketRocket Hot Goods and then second-up was a tad disappointing finishing in third but I really do think he is a 1400m horse rather than a short course sprinter. This looks a perfect assignment and he should be too good. Kia Ora Koutou was a big debut winner and looks a promising proposition for the Durrant stable. Not sure where he will get too from barrier 1 and looks like he will need room to move. Looks classy and should run second. Headlander Boy should whack away on speed and give a sight.

1. LONDON LINE - 5. KIA ORA KOUTOU - 2. HEDLANDER BOY

SUGGESTED BET - 1. LONDON LINE $80

R2. Light Fingers 65, Galilee 66, Red Handed 67 Handicap - Scott Embry

Murphy's Law says that today Zarantz will win. I've given up, I can't catch him and will put the cue back into the rack. He sat 3 deep the trip last start and only went down by a half length but that was a midweek type field and these are Saturday gallopers. Putting Raising Dubai on top for the sake of tipping in a race where you need a raffle ticket to pick a clear winner. Super consistent type who should give a very good show. Dubai Escapade is 'fresh' at 2200 after a quick let-up and is the best horse in the race. Black Uma will improve rapidly and steal one of these sooner rather than later.

    4. RAISING DUBAI - 1. DUBAI ESCAPADE - 3. BLACK UMA

    R3. Think Big 74 & 75, Gold And Black 77 Handicap - Scott Embry

Thowing up Spin Da Wheels as a big improver with the weight relief of Clint Johnson-Porter. Drops a massive 4.5kg on his last start meeting The Director and Already Famous 5.5kg better and Street Bandit 4kg better. Along with that massive weight swing Blinkers are added to race gear and so at around $5 the place in a Pay 1-2 event I'm happy to be aboard him as a speculation. Already Famous has Paul Harvey added to racing gear so must be respected. Finished in the money at 11 of his past 12. The People's Horse Street Bandit must be in there as well.

    5. SPIN DA WHEELS - 1. ALREADY FAMOUS - 7. STREET BANDIT

SUGGESTED BET - 5. SPIN DA WHEELS $20

    R4. Hyperno 79, Kingston Rule 90, Let\'s Elope 91 Handicap - Scott Embry

Most would be expecting the two Red silks to be fighting out the finish and I'll be going with W.Pike and Red Ora to get over the top of Madassa. Certainly not convinced that Madassa can get 1200m especially if there was to be a little pressure applied up front. He was paddling last weekend over the final hundred and I just feel that at 1200m Red Ora has a definite advantage and looks one of the better bets of the day. Expecting Pike to unleash Red Ora over the top and prove too good. Stagnite is too good to be left out but is probably more of a betting proposition second-up over 1400m.

    6. RED ORA - 2. MADASSA - 7. STAGNITE

    SUGGESTED BET - 6. RED ORA $50 x $50

R5. The Carbine Club Of Wa-apprentices\' Cup - Scott Embry

Happy to just take the field in the opening leg of the quaddie and hope for a result to be thrown up. Logic says that Quintessence probably wins because Lucy is the Best Apprentice but these stayers are so evenly graded that realistically anything could win. With Randy Tan likely to let Successful Spin roll along out in front and Cougar Express close behind him there should be enough pace in the race for them to make ground. Military Service should get a soft run towards the back as should noted non-winner Spondula. They are both eachway prices so I put them ahead of Quintessence. Not a race I'll be playing in.

    2. MILITARY SERVICE - 9. SPONDULA - 5. QUINTESSENCE

R6. Farnley Stakes - Scott Embry

Big question is, can the weight impost stop Lucy and Noddy from notching another Listed victory? Meets the entire field significantly worse at the weights and yet to win beyond 1400m, however, she is absolutely flying. I think she should still win but there are certainly others at value around her. Resonates was left in her wake first-up beaten by 2.5 but meets her 5kg better. Should give a sight out in front. Rock Magic looked the winner in the Idylic Prince but got the staggers late. Putting him on top with a 3kg weight swing over Wink and a Nod. I feel as though those two should fight it out. Very keen to see Rebel King out at 1400m and whether he settles for Pike on the inside against the fence.

    2. ROCK MAGIC - 1. WINK AND A NOD - 8. RESONATES

    R7. Saintly 96, Rogan Josh 99, Viewed 08 Handicap - Scott Embry

This looks the perfect assignment for McAuliffe galloper Military Ruler. His efforts so far this preparation have been outstanding and last time out he beat home Red Ora. Jordan Turner has a brilliant record aboard Darren McAuliffe's horses and I think that relationship will extend to Military Ruler on Saturday. Putting a mark next to him as one of the best bets. Im Feeling Lucky is over the odds at $14 in my opinion and expecting her to sprint well fresh. Top Show will settle last and come rattling home late. Coming Back best of the rest.

    9. MILITARY RULER - 2. I'M FEELING LUCKY - 5. TOP SHOW

    SUGGESTED BET - 9. MILITARY RULER $50 x $50

R8. Vale J.b. \'bart\' Cummings Oam Handicap - Scott Embry

Tudor Bolt definitely looks a galloper on the rise and his first-up win over the sprint trip was excellent. Harvey sat 3 deep throughout and held off Roman Fighter, a galloper I have a lot of time for, even after he got the run of the race up along the cutaway. Strong first-up win, comes into a relatively weak Saturday event and should go close to making it 4 wins from 6 starts. Cuanzo is a class dropped and looks hardest to beat. Has run placings to Disposition and Sheidel, form which would see him go mighty close here. Chasing Chaos can bounce back after a disappointing effort last start. Will be looking to the Pontiff to carry me home in the last.

    6. TUDOR BOLT - 3. CUANZO - 12. CHASING CHAOS

    SUGGESTED BET - 6. TUDOR BOLT $100

everytime Pike jumps on Rebel King it draws the inside gate, or the other way round when it draws the inside Pike jumps on... either way the connections have been kissed on the D the last few starts with barrier draws

I agree with Scott that Madassa was absolutely floundering over 1000m so no hope over 1200m in this field and agree with Dale that Zarantz is cat. Lay them both.

The Ladies Choice at big odds could salute in a very open race. Hoping for $26

I don't think London Line is over the line in the first. I think the 5 is very smart and the stable are back in form

    Red Ora should win

not too much over night rain. but looking at next weeks racing. Potentially 20+ ml thursday and another 10 or so friday could make Sat the 12th a wet to non racing track.
