Chris Waller is intending to come over. Don't know who is is bringing but they were very keen and not interested in reports about errant tracks as there would be plenty of time for the curator to get it all right.

But he could be on his own for all I know.

I think a horse like Mourinho would be an ideal horse to bring to Perth. They should have set him for the carnival, who knows could have gone home with the double.

I saw that Godolphin's horse, Bow Creek is nominated for HK so even though it is prominent in the Railway market it's probably safe to say it won't go across. Turn Me Loose and Magic Artist are the only other Eastern States horses high up in the betting. Lucky Hussler is out to $15 after being fav at one stage.

Generalife is in the Winterbottom though and Srikandi is the fav for that race and I think her racing pattern suits Ascot perfectly. It's a far more realistic Group 1 target than taking on Chautauqua down the straight although who knows what gremlins are lurking in that track by Saturday?

The Quarterback may be coming for the Winterbottom, pretty strong finish in the sprint race today at Flemington!

    Still $51 on Tabtouch (All-in)

Breakfast with the Stars invites went out today. I don't know if there will be that many 'stars' there. Maybe just a couple of Interstate horses.

Is He Or She coming over?

not without a sneaky chance on Saturday in the Emirates - would have to run a drum ( or be in the 1st 6 or so, so it doesn't lose points at the very least) to ensure it gets a start I reckon :-?

Moment of Change retired today. So another interstater that won't be coming!
  • dungydungy    9,278 posts
Re the Winterbottom ,Lucky St is 2nd Fav at $7  ??
Silverstream is $26 ?? now there is only 2 interstaters coming will that mean Silverstream gets a run ?? if so 26s is massive overs it went straight past LS last start and at 1200m would beat it by 3L .

All up only 3 or 4 horses coming gee Perth Racing there really going well seems the track problems have scared them of ,Buffering still looks HTB in the sprint but a local will win the Railway and im tipping it will carry cerise and white colours

8 eastern states raiders left in the field for the railway. I wonder how many are coming over.

    Grim reading for Super Saturday

    Jay Rooney
    November 9, 2015, 7:19 am

Perth Racing is bracing for one of the worst interstate turnouts for Super Saturday in recent years.

    Prolific
Group 1 winner Buffering and Fast ‘N’ Rocking are the only horses
confirmed to be on a charter flight from Melbourne to Perth on Sunday.

    Extra
Zero is likely to join stablemate Fast ‘N’ Rocking, but co-trainers
David Hayes and Tom Dabernig won’t decide his fate until Saturday, a
    week before the big day.

The status of other horses that were likely targets for Ascot’s two Group 1 features is in doubt.

PR’s interstate relations manager Grant Burns said he would contact several trainers who had expressed interest this morning.

    Last
year, a total of nine interstate horses started in the Group 1 Railway
Stakes (1600m) and Group 1 Winterbottom Stakes (1200m).

PR enticed 10 interstate representatives for the Super Saturday card in 2013 and 2012.

    There
were just six in 2011 — the first year Super Saturday was introduced —
with the Winterbottom moved to the same day as the Railway.

    Connections
of Winterbottom entrant Srikandi are considering spelling her after she
ran fifth to Delectation in Saturday’s Group 1 Darley Classic (1200m)
at Flemington. And Turn Me Loose is more likely to head to Hong Kong for
his next start than Perth, following his victory in Saturday’s Group 1
    Emirates Stakes (1600m).

The lack of interstate interest in the Railway could have a significant impact on the weights, which will be announced today.

    Black
Heart Bart, the current favourite at $4.80, was the highest-rated WA
galloper (110) before his win in Saturday’s Lee-Steere Stakes (1400m) at
    Ascot.

Disposition was rated 107 in Melbourne
before his eighth in the Emirates. Owner-breeder Bob Peters said
Disposition would return to Perth despite the poor run. “He’ll come home
and start in the Railway, at this stage,” Peters said.

Peters’ filly Perfect Reflection is back in the frame for Saturday’s $200,000 Champion Fillies Stakes (1600m).

that's a myth - on the contrary wide barrier will suit him - he will be in trouble if he gets cluttered up

A soft run in the Lee Steere by the cerise and white just prior to the weights being released. We've seen this movie before, haven't we? ;))
