WA Pacing Cup 4th Feb - let's start the discussion!?

Harness & Greyhounds
Who is in - who is out?

Miracle Moose should get a start and the further they go (2900 metres) the better he gets. The Bull still tough to beat, as is Minstrel.
+1 -1

Unfortunately as per GP standard terms and conditions it will all come down to the draw.

Bletchley park group 2 winner 6 starts back and beat moose last time they clashed

No way Bletchley park can get a start, 33 second last 1/4.

Be a good look if one of the fancied runners is leading and Bletchley Park in the death overracing.

Over 2900 will be gone at the 1000mt mark.

Miracle moose beat it by 41mts last time they clashed .

For mine I would add in Papinik & Miracle Moose for the injured Perfect Major & Bletchley Park out.

Can Magnificent Storm still win?? Even drawing well I’m pretty much prepared to put a line in him, would need to find many lengths on Friday nights effort.

    Currently still the fave.

That said there isn’t one horse I would automatically want to be on still if they didn’t draw well. Could roll the dice Minstrel $3.90-draws well it’s half the price.

    Vampiro sidelined as well.

Tab Touch fixed market has Perfect Major still in, only 5 days after it was annouced it had a fracture in its leg and no price for Miracle Moose.

Just shows where harness racing is in the pecking order,  further back than Walla Walla.

SO with not Vampiro and Perfect Major out. you would think Papinik and the Moose get a start. Does this save Bletchly Park or does something else come in say a Hampton Banner or the defending champ?

I would think Hampton Banner next pick

Magnificent Storm has had a series of draining  trips that have left him running on fumes over the last little bit in a couple of his races since resuming from a spell including one in very hot weather. The look is now one of him being slightly more vulnerable when his speed is used tactically instead of the imposing beast he delivered in his last campaign. As a one outer I can't see him getting any respite in running ....possibly if he leads he will set his own tempo to a degree but no doubt he will be tested even in front.
Weight of numbers has delivered pretty frequently in the Gr1's in WA.

I’d say the step up to FFA for Magnificent Storm has shown he’s not quite Lazarus but give him
credit his first 2 preps in Perth were outstanding some of those performances in the Breeze
    spectacular.
This prep maybe the making of him I don’t think he’s at his best at the moment
probably requires a spell but if he leads good luck trying to breeze against him
big difference in chasing 55 half’s and leading in 55 half’s.
I think our FFA Company can hold its own anywhere in Australasia if you
can have Lavra Joe , Magnificent Storm , Minstrel ( in Alphabetical Order )
    Sound & in Form !
Is there any updates on Lavra Joe ?

If Harness had a rating system like Thoroughbreds which current WA Pacer would have
the highest rating that is racing this Friday Night on current seasons form?

The first ten in the market go straight in.
Next in line on fast class form is Wildwest.
Next in line on record and last nine starts in Rocknroll Lincoln, reckon he’s a chance to sneak in. 2 years and 9 starts ago won the Cup.
Hampton Banner bit lacking in open class form.
Vulcan Tin and Galactic Star have been warriors but are now struggling.

Spoke to Ray at trials he said Lavra is in work but taking it very steady and we won’t see him until the winter with nugget the main aim
