Sales prices are irrelevant if breeding to race.

Is there anywhere that the following stats can be found? -

% of progeny that made it to the track
% of winners to runners - (usually shown on individual Sires page - but is it available in list form with other Sires)
% of individual Prime Races (Saturday) winners
% of individual Black Type winners

    Thanks @Fastmoney

I couldn't see the legend. Using this bloke as an example I'm guessing the numbers in brackets are Black Type wins

so he has had 224 (individual?) runners for 81 individual (?) winners, 11 individuals(?) have won black type -  who  collectively have won 113 races between them 13 of them being Black Type.

    Is this correct?

Sire                  Runners        Winners       Wins            Rnrs/Wnrs    Total Earnings
    Fastnet Rock        224             81 (11)       113 (13)         36.20%            $5,199,084

Breednet also now shows most successful nicks, trainer etc for each stallion,

My earlier comment was in regards to breeding to sell

Breeding to race, just stay away from anything with redouts because they are known for weak knees.

Hey Magoo you would be surprised but a lot of horses have their knees injected not just one's by Redoutes there is a lot of unsound horses out there maybe its because they are pushed too early.

Another interesting day at the G.C sales Neville Parnham now has 3, Simon Miller, Julie Love and the Bayliss Bro's have 1. But still no million dollar lots yet maybe a year of none.

Yep I'm big for giving them lots of time to mature
Iv a couple of passengers both 3yos only started to get serious with them now as all clear from vet, we're both broken as 2yo 4 weeks breaking & 8 months in paddock to mature, both also brought along nice and steady first 3 weeks was nothing but walking and wading in the estuary,

Just because they look big and strong doesn't mean genetics agree with what they look like,
(The one thing that really stuck with me from my old man)

@magoo83  broke one  I got at last years sales in early for the 1st time ever. Gave her 6 weeks off and then sent her back for education. Well I'll be fooked, she kept ticking all the boxes including vet xrays so off to a 400m trial she goes. Would have eaten your arm off so around she goes in a 1000m trial. Pulled up great.
That's it though, in the paddock now and probably will be until August, September.
Call me stupid (as many do :D ) but I just cant bring myself to race a 2 yr old

    EDIT: Yet
