If any of these three are on the plane...start backing..
    1. Noire
    2. Invincibella
    3. Land Of Plenty.

One for the Perth Cup.. if this horse comes over...might be doing something never ever ever done...a pre-post bet!
This bloke is a different horse now... grew a leg for D.K Weir...he carried some hefty weights too..his form was consistent in Queensland and in reasonable company - can do very well back on his home turf - Tradesman.

Yeh i agree $3 for Enticing Star is ridiculous.

No idea how much chance he is of coming but Le Romain would give her and all the rest some curry assuming he was in tip top shape.1200 at WFA and him racing on speed he would be very hard to get past by any of them.

    Just to clarify 3/1 Enticing Star mentioned somewhere...$3 is 2/1. $1.50 a place 1/2.
Whether that's value we shall see.
I'm saying nothing...for three years in a row said Winx had been shocking value pre-post for the Cox Plate.
    Winx 3.

Second favourite for Winterbottom Ball Of Muscle...form since a spell excellent except for the run at Moonee Valley when was the first horse beaten and ran last.

Before that run 1st, 1st and after the Valley last - 1st.
Worked hard Saturday without cover at Caulfield and still won quite well.
    Joe Pride astute trainer.

Yep my bad, a typo, I meant 2/1 ($3). I think TABtouch is the only place with futures and most of them disgusting futures at that.

Once again they prove themselves to be the bottom of the barrel in pricing a competitive market :-q b-(

Bet365 also have a market out on the big three, Enticing Star 2/1 with them too.
The next three WA horses in the market are all between 20/1 and 25/1...Quilsta ( former WA ) State Solicitor and Dainty Tess.

This carnival needs the Eastern staters to show up. Hope they do.

It's becoming the same every year with these nominations. Eastern States based Trainers nominate for everything getting Owners to pay up fees and Race Clubs love it because they get to fantasise about the quality they have attracted.

How punters can be so desperate to bet that they accept these conditions where a horse was talked about as seriously making the trip only to find out that their campaign has come to an end, they are going elsewhere or it was just plan B.

This is the stuff of chip wrapping material not the conditions for investment of hard earned.

Some very very tired horses come final day of the Melbourne spring carnival that's for sure.
There Grand Final(s) are over. The paddock beckons.

    bit harsh there mate.
last year Viddora won the winterbottom from fuhryk and santa ana lane well beaten.
Since then, viddora won the Magic Mills sprint at gold coast, the G1 Moir and ran in the Everest last weekend.
Santa Ana Lane won the Goodwood and the Stradbroke (both G1), then won a Group 2 and also ran in the Everest.
Id say the E/S visitors have nominated, theyve come and the form stood up pretty well and made this race very respectable.

The preceding decade couldn't be declared the same though. As far as the horses you mentioned, most of them would have been on the way up rather than established. So in that respect it's a roll of the dice, but it's still mostly second graders looking for a weaker class Gr 1.

How many Gr 1 winners among the visitors are nominated this year ? Ever since Takeover Target beat Apache Cat, this race has been a consolation Gr 1, and that is being kind.

I would like one of my purchases to win it again though, just to show the last one wasn't a fluke.

@DamienWyer I think you're being a bit harsh there. Buffering won it twice, Ortensia has the unique distinction of winning it when it was a G2 and then the first time it was a G1. She also ended up winning in Dubai & the UK. Takedown beat Sheidel, and an emerging Vega Magic, not to mention the very unlucky Malaguerra(a 2x G1 winner at the time) who went on to win the Australia Stakes, its 3rd at G1 level, beating BHB in the process.

Miracle Pike ride gave it a perfect rails run. You gonna take G1 status from the Caulfield Cup after Boom Time won it at $51? Fact is, Malaguerra won the Age Classic. Buffering was a head away from Hay List in the Newmarket. Those races are rated among the best in the world. If you can attract those horses to WA you have a right to call it a genuine Group 1.The usual posters with ovious agendas will argue diffrently.

What a horse does subsequently is irrelevant, even though race clubs try their level best to rewrite history

It goes both ways though. Terravista was already a G1 winner before its flop in the Winterbottom. It was also 3rd in 3 other G1s and a head away from winning the Lightning-a race it would win after the WA failure.

Keen to back a Weir horse called Ringerdingding on spec in the Guineas & take the price now, before it goes around and ideally performs in R2 Caulfield tomorrow
Last two runs for him have been strong, appears that getting towards a Mile will suit it

    Oh dear...
    Weiry:
Please DO bring this horse over for the Guineas.
Please DO NOT bring the cowboy J Allen.

    Won’t get the $14 again.

Haven’t seen replays or times yet, all naked eye stuff - but gee I reckon it made up the most ground of anything on the Card today.

If this horse lobs soundly and without issue, it beats the local 3yos by panels.
Can someone please twist Weiry’s arm
Or the All-in market gets me again
