This is why the Dockers "PR" machine must cringe whenever RTB is in front of the mike. To say he doesn't read the West "only the Australian and the Financial Review" because the room full of the "West Australian" journo's have an agenda against him is providing more ammo to the print media.
And when asked about is it their best win ? he says replies it is all about growth and not about the week to week blah blah. Well let me tell you this RTB.
The week to week is what gets you into finals. Last week your team was pathetic. Against the Eagles your team was pathetic.
But you just run with the sporadic "good" games and keep your frustrated success hungry fans starving Ross. Life goes on with more of the same. Haha.
Have never seen Hayden Ballantyne play ruck either. What's your point ??
Eagles have too much depth and are not desperate enough to put Masten FF.

Mundy is a beast and the Weagles dont have an equivalent.....Maybe Cripps and De Goey are the similar in the comp. The closest we have is probably Yeo, and i think he has played Full forward, Full back and most postilions in between.

A week is a long time in football :-B

Rather ironic to read that the dockers fell the most of any club, while the weagels rose greater than any club.

Rubbing salt into the Dockers wounds Rio. =D>
With both Hill boys leaving the club at the end of the year and RTB confirmed as their coach again next year not sure there will be a spike in memberships in 2020.
Scott Gooch was quoted in today's paper that they were putting plans in place to address the membership decline. To me this would be offering cheap memberships, 3 game cheap packages etc.
Band aid solutions in my opinion.
You have played the admin card Rio. I have played the coach card. Club needs a major cleanout of both and then you may see an upward curve.
Otherwise it will be more of the same.

I accept the membership is not the be all and end unless you are in W.A or S.A.
Eagles buy memberships because if you don`t you don`t get a seat at Optus.
Fremantle don`t have to buy memberships because there is always vacant decent seats.
My colleague at work had a Docker membership at Subiaco and then continued on to Optus at avg $55.00 per seat. When fellow Dockers supporters (non members) were buying tickets on the day for $30.00 and sitting him next to him, he said stuff this and did not renew his membership for this year
I would assume the crows supporters have the same seat shortage in Adelaide as Eagles members.
I am assuming a membership in Melbourne is about a quarter of the cost of a W.A membership because seat availability is not a problem.
But getting back to Freo, game style is turning a lot of people off.
In terms of Eagles not filling the stadium. I think you would be amazed of how many country people are members who have gone to games year after year religiously. Possibly a lot of the seats are there`s who have not bothered to attend.
Eagles avg home attendance in a 60,000 seat stadium is probably around 53,000. Which means there is approx. 88% filled.
Richmond with 100,000 members play at the G with 100,000 capacity.
I reckon the avg home game attendance for Tigers would be 60,000 which means 60% seats filled.
So Eagles doing pretty well I reckon compared to your mob and a lot of the big guns in the AFL.
Oh and I am a member and I go to every home game.

Also the big ticket item is the finals and in particular Grand Final.
I went into the ballot last year as a member and got a GF ticket as one of the competing teams.
If I was interstate I would buy an interstate membetship. Get the scarf and or beanie and a bumper sticker. Financially support your club.

About 45% of the MCG is reserved for MCC and AFL members, throw in corporate seats and away team special member allocation, the number is less than half what you stated.
Yes you are correct with the MCG members taking seats and the available seats shared amongst corporates and non Tigers members. My comments were on the fly and responding to Sax that Eagles members weren't filling the (by my numbers again on the fly) 10 to 12% of the empty seats.
He dangled the bait and I took it. =D>
Vic 8.4
WA 3.1
SA 2.5
NSW 1.7
QLD 1.4
Tas 0.6
NT 0.3
So for all the talk of tassie getting a team its clear a 3rd team in WA is actually more viable. Just some food for thought.

Dayne Beams is a name that crops up in a lot of the rumours.
Not saying there is anything in it but ...
Apparently he was the leader of the syndicate. 10 involved. That would have ****ed collingwood if it was true.
Herald sun reporting that it was a hoax.
Goes to show how hard it is to build a successful team. Lot more to it than just draft picks.
Only time it’s really worked was with west coast, who were given open slather to take players from other clubs.
