Once upon a time, the Freo Cup was a great race...a stand, over the journey and a race on the tip of everyone's tongue down the Cappo strip. The TABtouch pre post market "updated December 30th", or so it says on its site, highlights the disregard for Harness Racing and begs the question as to why anyone would bother putting in a bid for the organisation.
Favourite at $6 is Ride High (almost certainly not coming), Ultimate Sniper (injured and in the paddock for 12 months) is $8, Buster Brady and Bling It On (not coming) at $9, Cruz Bromac (racing in the Auckland Cup tonight and definitely not coming) at $11.....or you may wish to back Wildwest at $26 ....last call, he had been sent to Sydney by the Hall Stable, same price as Jack Mac!!!!
Alta Orlando, referred to as a rising young star on TAB radio this morning....he is an 8 year old....is coming but bad luck, he is not even listed in the pre post market. Perhaps, at today's racing mass, a quick prayer for the TAB.....fancy putting that rubbish up on it's website.

And from what you just highlighted it seems they have even less disregard for Harness Racing, I didn’t think they could get any worse.

GP and Bunbury do not. How do they expect people to take them seriously if they won’t even take them time to frame their own states racing themselves and get the odds up early.

Yesterday's meeting at GP was a classic example of the **** they are happy to serve up to the industry and general public.
The impression I get is that majority af RWWA staff couldn't give a stuff about what happens in next two years from a industry perspective and at the end of the day they get paid well for not performing so why would they care.

Surely that is still the case, any bookmaking firm worth there salt always states - "if not nominated money refunded".
Can't see that on Tabtouch - it should be there somewhere. It'd be a bit cruel if they took your money and your horse hasn't even been nominated. Once nominated and afterwards your selection scratched - then they take the cash.

Tabtouch can't even put that up on there betting conditions - why not ? Possibly because if not nominated - you lose. Otherwise should put it up.
If you can get better odds on markets with % approaching Mt Everest proportions and happy to lose your money if don't make it to the final field stage - then go for it!
If have $100 on Galactic Star now - and it's scratched on the morning of the race - not sure if get your $100 back or not. It's all in so no, but made it to final field stage so yes.
You can even ask a bookie for a quote on a horse - I want $500 on Robert The Bruce ( go Cisco! ) to win the Fremantle Cup - what odds will you give me - and BetEasy would say 8/1.
Robert The Bruce - when nominations taken not there of course - bet refunded.
