Scales of Justice the next BHB . I think will be a better horse going forward over 1200

Love to own it rather than the winner today.

Strong win by Vega after copping it the whole way

R3 Thateldo disappointing last campaign may be better this time. Big watch on Lenience. Quinella.
R4 Lovera let a few of us down last start. Big jump to 2200 (first time) and can suit. Each way.
R5 Saxy Grace. The enigma returns and can go well fresh

    Could someone please enlighten me.

I am watching the prices for ascot on the Best Bookies Web Site, and I note that Keiren Bluey Glynn is one of the bookies whose prices are displayed there.

I remember him betting in the Eastern States ring back in 89/94. Then when I came back to Perth many years later, he was operating a doubles board. Then I heard he'd retired. So, is he back working again from today, or has he just dusted off the cobwebs for today's meeting, before going back into retirement.

Great ride by Aaron Mitchell! Randy Tan could have done the same in the previous race but wouldn't go for it.

Fair dinkum I thought Dark Alert had been slaughtered in the run but still came on, just goes to show

How do u explain a 3 wide run for entire distance and wins with ease

Sometimes racing just can't be explained Gray!

I've always equated 6 lengths to a second.
Impost of weight scaled as distances increased - however the way the spread of weights is compressed these days it does not seem to have as much of a bearing on race results as in years gone by IMHO

    not true legless.
weight means bugger bugger all until the horses are working.
so it is conceivable that it's worth more over a 1000 than 2400 depending on how race was run.
smarter people than me have figured that one out too.
paul longmuir told me that, but i already knew!
you probably don't know that name, but he is a whale in the true sense of whales, not like those minnows that bl often refers to.

the average will be about 1kg equals 1 metre over ANY distance..
so if a horse is perhaps 2.75 metres long then it would take an extra 2.75 kg to slow it by a length ALL else being equal(which of course it won't be), and it is not a one size fits all thing.

so to whoever thinks 1kg is 2 lengths then they are dreaming.

Some big striding horses just like to have space rather than being bottled away. Helps if they can stay too.
