    See Whyte is 0 and 9 in even getting a place in Sha Tin today. Must have other things on his mind like how is he going to pull the wool over the stewards eyes.

    Got 2nd place in the last on the fav. Was watching with interest too haha. I know when I have a shocker at work it takes a few day's to get back in the groove.

    No sympathy from me .from the vision available to us . and we dont have hawkeye whatever that is. But the view we have seen there is one conclusion guilty, failed to ride it out. Dont know about the rest of your theory after that though Deto

    Yeah right. He's got everyone fooled. He does speak his mind on pretty much every topic including eastern states racing and goes out of his way to be controversial but I've never heard him be critical of anything in WA racing.

    He's not quite as rusted onto PR since he left but still says next to nothing.

    If he wants some colourful commentary he'll get someone like Steve Wolfe on the program.

    It's time people actually listened to what Wes talks about. For all the titilation he won't criticise horses, trainers, jockeys, rides, RWWA staff including stewards or PR staff and decision makers.

    I reckon when Josh Rodder was a Monday morning regular on the breakfast program he told more "truth" in his first hour than Wes has in twenty years.

    Ps. I congratulate him for achieving what he has. Wouldn't everyone want their passion to be their job. It's been a steady climb. He hasn't got there by treading on toes.

    Spinking. I was commenting on Jell comments about scribes playing it down. Mcauley said Smith and the senior mgr of the connections told the stewards that they were satisfied with Whyte's ride. Not disputing that part. What I did follow up saying in another post is that all the scribes are dancing around this one. All not having the balls to say what 90% of the racing public with 20/20 vision saw.
    If the jockey was Joe bloggs from Oakford the knives would be out. But they all are worried about their good standing in the racing industry.
    Did D Mac say what penalty he should get. ? N0
    He was more interested in finding an "out"for Douggie in suggesting that he could have been confused by the advertising boarding 10m either side of the winning post. Jeeesus. What next ??
    Even Greg Radley sitting next to D Mac was squirming uncomfortably at what was coming out of D Macs mouth. You could see he was busting to say his mind but was also thinking about next years paid jaunt in Perth.
    If that is not looking after their mates I don't know what is !!!

    Amyquil,you are pretty close,.But wes and gareth forgot who they were employed by on 31/10/2016,with regards to trotting persons disq.saying what he did happens everyday of the week,with regards tactics and so on,realized they were trying   to defend   the indefensible and dug themselves  a hole and  then ,quickly saying  he wasn't  given  31/2 years for nothing..Then switched play by  will have to get mr. borovica on.What protects the punter in this industry is most important element ,because the   dogooders are gathering over the hill  and if the punters  join them there will be no industry.Simple whats right is always right.

    My 2 cents - the book needs to be thrown at Douglas, a seasoned pro missing the line like that is unforgivable. I genuinely feel gutted for the owners, you pay to get someone here (twice) for a gem of a ride in the Railway and then an absolute stinker in the KT. If they were satisfied by that ride they must need their heads read. I backed the winner so no crying on my side but fair dinkum in a group 1 that just isnt on, you would have thought a vetran would have been better prepared and given due consideration to what he was doing.

    Just on the racing media for a second any journo or media person too critical often is shafted...Ken Callander excellent Sydney scribe never frightened to speak his mind...resigned on principle after being dictated to as to what to write and not write. Another in Victoria forthright in his opinion was great to listen to - Dr. Turf also was shown the door. The two blokes above don't want to put down racing it's their passion that wants to see racing get better...it's the ones who are 'lovey dovey' and in cahoots with the establishment that pull the game down.
