I would think double time and a half if not triple. No idea what the hourly rate would be to start with.

Low 20's per hr average google says and they would pay staff double time and a half max imo.Bar staff are NOT well paid and i doubt PR would be industry leaders pay wise?? Could be wrong on that.
  • thefalconthefalcon    20,485 posts
i think bar staff are about 25-26 bucks an hour...that's the min. PR could pay on a normal day.

It's pretty simple really : respect the people who who wish to celebrate Good Friday at the track or wherever they wish to go. Not everyone is religious or has a faith. Reckon it's fantastic for them. But for goodness sake share the same respect for those who don't participate. If you have to be poking fun at a bloke like Danny Miller you don't have much of a life. Surely it can't be any simpler.

Level 6 casual (highest level) is $28 standard, $50 public holiday.

    Level 1 is $23 / $42

    2-5 obviously between those levels.

Not sure its about poking fun or respect.

Those who don`t agree or don`t want to participate shouldn`t be bagging the decision.

They should be supporting innovation in their industry and in turn they will get benefits from it.

Individual interests have always been the biggest problem for racing.

The judgement of the decision should be about the economic improvement of racing not about individuals religious, moral or historical views.

The tabs will be closed and I think that the pools will be moderate. Will there be bookies there? I think a lot of drinking and little punting.

Whats all the fuss about if you are religious have the day off and enjoy what it is meant to be. If not go to work as it is just a normal day.  As far as races go Friday ,Saturday  Albany Cup Sunday and who knows where Monday Jocks will be making a fortune or whinging about to many meetings

I'm not 100% sure but I swear a few years ago there was Good friday racing in France I could punt on here. As quite a Catholic nation it surprised me a bit. Now tabtouch use good friday for a once a year de-bug and maintenance.

it was RWWAs decision to put this meeting on, not PRs.

I hope its an abject failure.....

Apparently Danny Miller is not keen on the idea. Apparently he was around at the time of the crucifixion, because he's so old =))

After that comment Danny might be a bit cross with you

    Only a little cross ;))

If every other State had done it and we were last everyone would be screaming blue murder and calling us Nanny state  , its the 1st time we have got in first , Kudos i say  if you dont want to go then dont and if you dont want to bet then dont pretty simple really

Dungy you have taken the words out of my mouth. After all the time PTT has operated it has taken one week to finally cover the 2 things I was told unless you want a argument to talk about, religion and politics.Falcon of your 13600 odd posts the one above is the most negative of them all (hope it a abject failure). How many of us myself included have been quick to lay the slipper into PR for not being proactive in there approach to get people back to the track, they come up with a original plan to do this, and one which I reckon every other major club in Australia is looking at and saying why didn't we think of this. Next year personally I think those major clubs will be doing the same , based on the iniative of PR. Not only have they hatched a great plan they have aided it by saying to the public its free no admission charge. A mate and I put a carton on his boat and go crabbing Good Friday our choice everyone has one . This year I think that will change I know were we both will be. Somehow I think that you feel Falcon that it disrespects or is a affront to religious organizations , to late for that they have successfully done that themselves with there continued and systematic sexual and physical abuse of children over decades. I am the polar opposite to you on this one , hoping the day is a roaring success for the club and the public patronize it in droves see ya there

can anybody confirm if the tabs will be open that day? If not, I think the day will suffer as the pools will be poor.

no one bets (in) the TAB anymore anyway... as long as Tabtouch's site isn't closed or down for scheduled maintenance we'll be right

spink, its not PR's decision, it came out of left field by RWWA.

PR's John Yovich is one of the key decision makers behind Good Friday racing

Don't care who made the decision PR or RWWA ,and don't think it came out of left field as Newkid alluded to earlier they were waiting for the liquor license to come through. If that is correct would not PR be applying for that

Seriously mate. I know you have a lot of sway on this site but f***me. Fair enough if you're not keen on GF racing but to hope "it's an abject failure"
