the 'official' number is blatant tosh.
both liberal and labor are guilty in how the rate is reported.

Just outline the corruption for us please?  Simply and clearly.  Anyone can throw out derogatory terms such as this but they mean nothing unless you back it up

    you are a fool.
where did i state that i am better than everyone else.
because i know the government in its present form is corrupt, then that  says i am better than everyone else?
did i say you were a fool?
maybe that's not the right word.

Seeing this is a racing forum - those odds on offer what was it  $2.70 and $1.50 whats that in the old - about 7/4 and 2s on - they are Strikingly similar - Eerily similar  to the odds on offer in that famous  AG Hunter Pacing Cup of the mid 1970s

The bookies put up 7/4 ( 2nd fave ) about the great  Pure Steel - and they had the  " Screaming " Red Hot favourite - Rip Van Winkle - take 2s on

Now im not for one second suggesting that Sco Mo   is the mighty Pure Steel - however i am suggesting  1000% that Albo is  Rip Van Winkle . And just like Rip Van Winkle if Albo gets beat -  - you will never ever ever  ever hear from it again

Morrison stable will feature prominently in the ICAC Stewards Report if the Labor runner gets the money.

HOWEVER, lets keep personal abuse out of it, there is no need for it. keep it up and the mods will reluctantly close the thread.

My Political views.  All of them are over paid, over Privileged. all of them once out of politics have a lifetime government pension, so never need to work again . stuff me they dont even know the price of bread . Imagine if the clowns actually went to work with me!  I clean out Dhs houses, units  complexes ect,  full of junkie needles, human poo, dead animals, abandoned goods including rotten fridges, grass 8 foot high . They eventually evict them and give them a brand new unit for $85 a week as a reward then 6 months later im back there again and the place is in same situation Biggest cover up in Government housing as we as tax payers pay for it . Dont think im full of it either i have 6 years of photos and videos to prove it.  Average turn around cost of junkie ,feral tenented house is $20 thousand . Scommo and Albo should step into the real world . well that turned into a rant  :))

    Interrupting to lighten things up....

Prostitutes will not be voting in the election. They don't care who gets in.  :)) :)) :))

    On that topic;

I recall a holiday in Vegas around the time of a USA election and was approached by a prostitute who offered me an hour for $200.

I asked with an American accent ....  Do you take American Express?

She replied.... I will take it at any speed you like.:D :D

For the sake of the whole country we need Morrison out he is a terrible representative for the country he totally sums up the whatever it takes mentality wouldn't trust him for a minute all about himself.

That sums them up perfectly giving away millions to mates and big business while hunting down struggling taxpayers with robodebt to pay for it all.

Putting all politics aside, I think standard of living is the most important factor when choosing a potential government. We should elect the people who are going to make our lives better. Policies that will enrich us will always be more attractive to me. Policies that threaten to erode our standard of living scare me.
As such, personalities are irrelevant to me. I can't believe how many people vote for a personality. Scant regard for policy at the ballot box but first to whinge when things go pear shaped.

Paul Murrays editorial in saturdays (30/4) west is well worth a read...he discusses the solomon islands.
  • MarkovinaMarkovina    3,331 posts
I think the West Australian newspaper have been very  fair - reporting both on a state and federal level

They gave great credit to Mark McGowan on his handling of the pandemic- and their editorial before the election - endorsed him etc . However they have questioned other issues under his stewardship - like Ambulance ramping etc

And on a federal level the same - very early on their editorial said stick the course with Morrison . However Sat West i thought was a huge kick in the guts for the Liberals - but it shows that paper isnt backing either side . . On the front page they had a basket of food and i think even stuff like sugary rubbish coca cola . - however the basket of stuff had gone up from $90 12mths to  now $140 . Now alot of people who are under a bit of financial pressure would look at that and say thats it - feuck the current mob - i will vote for the other  mob - even though the Fed govt has no control over those type of things - i mean NZ and Canada things have gone up even more

So the West have given credit to either side - and havent been frightened to whack either side

falcon, have you donated your grand to a betting agency yet?

i'm off to donate some more for the independents, targeting frydenberg and wilson.
i think both those two get ditched in a few weeks, and need to play my part to help it along.

to be honest carey, no b*llshite, i do think the public are far from dumb and know what labour are like. gawd knows what the unions will get up to..keeps me awake at night. my dear old grandpappy will be watching down in trepidation...

you could have had more than 3.6 ages ago on Betfair.
It's going that way again, as people back and lay trying to lock in profits.

The problem you have falcon, is that I am not not voting FOR labor, i am voting to get rid of the incompetents in charge now.
It could be Greens, Labor, Vicki next door,......anything except what we have.
I am sure a huge percentage of voters feel the same.

Your dear old granddad may have been a honourable man, but there is nothing honourable about morrison......or dutton, or ......or......or.....
i got told last night that Labor will make an ICAC retrospective.
    Please let it be so.
I think your mistake is thinking they are liberals.
I think that ended after Howard.
I despised that little man, but I don't think he was corrupt, nor was his government.
That's not what we have now.
