Pinjarra Saturday Meetings

West Australian Racing
Can someone remind me what was the logic in the reasoning behind Pinjarra hosting Saturdays at this time of the year ? I know in February Magic Millions have parted ways with Perth Racing, and it is now a Saturday prime meeting, but was it to give Ascot recovery time from the Perth Cup ?

I don't have an issue with it, but I just can't remember what was the stated reason.

Going down to Pinjarra to see Spangled Image. Should see a much better run today top 3 would be very nice way over the odds I think she is.

Got to remember some 2yr olds are pretty green, but it wasnt one of Chloes best rides but of late ive seen some pretty ordinary riding from certain riders where there place is in the bush.

CONGRATS PHILLIP MCLEOD cant say I'd heard of him before today but what a way to make your training debut, racing a 5yo first up and having it romp in like that =D>

pretty impressive, looks a nice horse going off that effortless win

I did say after Juicing Carrots won last start first up that it's in for a successful campaign... :-\"

takes a good stayer to go back to back and win like it just did

Was an excellent effort Hash. Sasso's had every chance and is at its mark and Gloryland is hard to catch.

One bet today. Enjoyed some Staeck and Carrots.

Great to hear punters cheering on the runners today. Very rare on race broadcasts these days.

Racecaller did well today. Forgive him the Dash Dot Dash as that is easy to mix up. Had a crack at the tight finishes and threw in the odd pun. Well played.

@Torpedo Punt not being wise after the race but when checking results yesterday...thought to myself wasn't Secret Minx one of the dead heaters with Granlarado in the strong country championship 16 horse field at Ascot...then last run jockey reprimanded for lack of vigour....honestly thought perhaps 5 or 6/1 yesterday...whether or not could win was another question but around $13 and if $20 was touched...that's amazing.

One of the horses that finished a close up 4th in the country championship race Border Scot...next run think was at Bunbury picked them up after racing a bit wide as if they were standing still. Secret Minx fought on superbly at Ascot when deadheating . Well into double figures yesterday. All supply and demand I guess. Also Pike and Peters were in yesterday's race and whilst combination needs super respect it can spell - unders! If Pike was riding Secret Minx yesterday with Durrant or Williams training and Peters owning probably runs close to favourite!

Agreed. Fan of Celebrity Dream but didn't like it's return run so was happy to avail myself of the overs on the honest mare S.M
