  • Absolutely ridiculous roughies for the big races, a little ew on each Guineas - Reign of Fire Railway - Spiritual Warrior
  • I’m sticking with him (again). Runs in the Metropolitan on Saturday, drops to 50kg, Up to the mile and a half.James Innes Jnr riding, not a bad booking. Beautifully drawn in 4.Given where the horse sits in the order of entry for the Cups, a win on S…
  • Pink N Gray has come back from a spell in terrific form and should be hard to beat in the 4th.
  • Got held up early in the straight but really powered home late. Will only improve on that run too

  • Runs in the Derby Trial over 1,800m at Flemington tomorrow. Freshened up since last start win. Willie Pike booked to ride. $4.80 favourite currently.

  • Looks like he needs 2 miles and maybe a softer track, just couldn’t quicken when they sprinted. Found the line ok when he finally got wound up.
  • Up to 2,000m tomorrow with another change in jockey. The now much maligned Hugh Bowman rides him.Down in class to a Group 3, a strong run needed to justify a trip to Melbourne.
  • Didn’t show the same zip today, second up syndrome? Definitely looking for 2,000m plus. Going to stick with him.
  • Running 2nd up in the Chelmsford on Saturday, important jockey change with Avdulla on. $6.00 currently.
  • Certainly did get a perfect run in a race that didn’t pan out as most expected.
  • Regal Power to be a big improver second up tomorrow?
  • A couple of good roughies today, Randwick Race 7 - Zebrowski in the Winx. Has had two solid trials, not extended in either one. Has won first up and on soft as well. Went through the 3yo ranks quickly in the autumn. Currently $51 and $11. Moonee Val…
  • Won like a very promising stayer, early season 3yo against older horses. Came from the back on a heavy 8 track, had a lot on that field. Shapes like a real VRC Derby horse.

  • She’s in again tomorrow. Was told that she had settled beautifully in to the new stable, and she really finished her race off much better a fortnight ago. Has to be right in the mix tomorrow again, and won’t mind if it’s wet.

  • Moe Race 4 tomorrow. Choir @$4.20 seems like very good value. Well down in class on last run, looks like the 2,050m will be right up his alley.
  • Here is the Stewards Report for the race MISS STAR – Raced wide throughout. Rider reported that he was unable to obtain cover at any stage and when placed under pressure on entering the home straight, his mount failed to respond to his urgings and w…
  • I thought Heptagon was a risk today with the drop in distance and rise in weight. Yendall rode him perfectly again, didn’t spend a penny in the run and even though the rails may not have been the place to be, the class of the horse showed, He’s goin…
  • Nice each way bet - Flemington Race 8 - Romancer.
  • Just an observation on that last race, Keptain Courageous seems to get off the pegs a little easily just after the bell. I’d like to have a look at stewards film.I was on Miracle Max and he wasn’t suited racing back on the pegs, he needs plenty of …

  • Four months - at the bottom end of the scale I reckon.
  • Billy Conda - used to watch the replays on ABC telly on a Friday night. He was a little fella who used to love sitting three or four back on the pegs then fly home. Cornish Rouge - I saw him race as a kid, a big bay or chestnut I think - striking lo…

  • Massive risk to take in a G1 race, Maybe could have used those tactics with a lesser horse in an earlier race to see how it went? They did lead all the way with one...
  • Interested to see how Pink N Gray goes back to the 1,200m. Seems to have really enjoyed the steps up in trip of late, running terrific races. I don’t know if he will be suited today, but being a Provincional Champ heat, has to have a crack.
  • Didn’t Phil Coulson have more than a bit of boxing ability from his younger days? I’m sure I have read that somewhere before..
  • I’ve got to give some kudos to a very good Great Southern driver in Shane Butterworth. His drive on Alta Camino in the first at Collie today was outstanding. He knew that the horse he was driving had the ability over his rivals, but was having troub…
  • David Moran (Major Wish) was queried in relation to whether he gave consideration to surrendering the lead when challenged strongly by Iamthefirecracker with 1300m to travel. Mr Moran stated that he had intimate knowledge of the capability of Iamthe…
  • Well said @rodent
  • Following up on Halvorsen in the Newmarket tomorrow. Great closing sectionals in the Oakleigh Plate.
